Devin Aromashodu

Position: WR/KR
College: Auburn
Projected Selection: Round4
Ht.: 6-2.5
Wt.: 201
40 Time: 4.38
Selected by: Miami Dolphins, Round 7, pick 25 (233 overall)

BIO: Two-year starter who totaled 26/494/4 as a senior after junior numbers of 24/513/4.

POSITIVES: Explosive receiver with an unpolished game. Quickly releases off the line, sharp running routes and gets separation from opponents. Comes back to the ball using his frame to protect the pass and adjusts to the errant throw. Possesses a burst of speed, playing faster than his 40 time and beating opponents in a foot race.

NEGATIVES: Constantly lets the pass get inside him and body catches. Lacks a sense of timing and anticipation. Rarely catches the ball cleanly and drops too many passes.

ANALYSIS: A solid athlete who can stretch the field, Aromashodu projects as a third receiver for a vertical offense. Needs to fine-tune his game and work harder to reach the level of expectation NFL scouts have for him.

CAREER NOTES:
In 51 games with the Tigers, Devin finished his career with 71 receptions for 1,333 yards, the tenth-best total on the school’s all-time record list. He had nine touchdown catches and scored 54 points. He also returned 38 kickoffs for 860 yards, the seventh-best career total in school annals.

PERSONAL:
Full name is Gbolahan Devin Aromashodu ... Son of Inkey and Dorothy Aromashodu ... Born May 23, 1984.

ABOUT DEVIN:
Favorite Food: Steak ... Favorite Book: Lord of the Flies ... Favorite NFL Team: Miami Dolphins ... Favorite NFL player: Keyshawn Johnson ... Most Memorable Football Experience: Starting my first game at Auburn ... Career Aspiration: Wants to own an Italian restaurant ... Unique Thing: Father is from Lagos, Nigeria and moved to the United States in his 20's.

Welcome to your Favorite NFL Team, Devin! :dolphins::df81::dolphins:

4.38 is pretty darn fast, and he plays faster than that? Nice!

I think he'll be on the practice squade this year with an outside chance he makes the roster as the #5 WR. It'll be him and Campbell battling it out for that #5 spot, with Campbell slightly getting the edge because of his ST abilities.

So, you are assuming that Welker is the 4th receiver?

I would hope that Devin does make the team, cause if he is on the practice squad, I believe that allows another team to sign him.

I don't know if we keep Campbell because we do have Welker, and I think the group of Chambers, Booker, Hagan and Aromashodu will be great.

I think Welker and Hagan will battle it out for the 3rd WR spot. With Welker winning, Hagan will be our 4th WR like Gilmore was. I think Devin has the edge if the coaching staff is thinking the same way you are. But if they are trying to field the best 5 WR, IMO Campbell will make the roster over Devin.

Hagan will be our #2 reciever in 07

i think that aromashodu will be our kickoff returner and heard that coach saban is thinking about him as punt returner also, and that he needs time to develop but could see some playing time in 3rd and long situations...
