I read that Boston, Bowens, and Vickerson all left the game with injuries. Anyone know the extent of those injuries?

Vickerson's is the worst. He was having a hard time getting off the field even with two trainers helping him. Boston looked okay, his should be minor. I didn't notice Bowens getting hurt. I was probably out of the room at the time.

vickerson MRI so think lateral meniscus which is six weeks, if he got the ACL the year, if blessed and normal then MCL sprain about two to four weeks

Bowens is fine a bruise day to day see how is does in the morning no swelling a few days swelling a month

Boston is fine trap strain less then seven days

these are all based on sabans post game interview answers and my best quess with the diagnosis given

Dang he's undergoing an MRI. I get the feeling it is just a confirmation of a serious ligament tear. At least Boston's problem is just his neck, not his legs. And when Bowens goes down with a knee injury, you always have to worry.

yeah i thought nick said it was a bruise or contusion for bowens, nick did say vickerson is getting a MRI in the morning, you dont get one that early unless you have positive findings on exam, lachmans test or pivot **** maneuver on the field, the only thing that troubles me is if he does have ligament or cartilage damage, the bleeding in the knee joint can give a false positive or negative result this soon on a MRI because it clouds it up, so they must be sure he has a surgical lesion

I think Bowens was looking at the stadium lights when his knee gave out.

Hey doc --Athletic trainer here-- i've seen ACL's recover in 4 months -- The MCL sprain IMHO is the worst of all -- there is so much pain associated with it and usually a ton of swelling... the meniscus is the best news we can get surgery right away then 2 - 4 weeks rehab...agree??

 Uhhhhhhhhh :yeahthat:

for the most part we have been lucky with preseason injuries, the problem now is do we stay healthy or not, if so we will be competitive all year regardless of the QB thing, if we start to have prime guys go down it is over we have no depth

depends on how the meniscus is torn, usually lateral is injured in trauma, figure two weeks of passive care then active so six weeks until he is on the field, if he just has a small tear then two to four weeks is possible, also bleeding or hemearthosis can delay recovery for you have to wait until it is down

ACL has no pain fibers so it does not hurt at all, problem is a guy his size might be able to deal with a partial and play with a brace, he may be out two weeks, complete tear usually comes with a meniscus tear also so you got issues

MCL sprains are painful early on for sure but with aggressive therapy four weeks is likely
