While Kubiak said he wouldn't put a play count on Foster, he didn't expect him to play as many snaps as he normally would.
"We'll go out and play and I'll watch him and see how he's holding up," Kubiak said. "I would think that he's definitely not going to be a 60 play guy, like he normally is for us. He's a three-down player. We'll listen to Arian, (running backs coach) Chick (Harris) will watch him, we'll all watch him. Hopefully everything goes smooth."

"A lot," Thomas said on Friday. "I expect to play a lot. But you never know. That's just my expectation. We'll see what happens, man."

Let's just hope he's effective "a lot"

....and the line can open up some holes for him! :)

Good, because we can't put the whole load on reggie, hopefully thomas can get maybe 15 carries coming off the hamstring, the o-line has to open up some holes, I think we can have success running the ball on these guys if we can get to the second level and take out ryans and cushing.

^^^ keyword.

I hope the coaching staff is not rushing either player out there out of desperation. If they re-injure themselves we are back at square one. If they are eased back into action, that would be the smartest thing to do. There are plenty of games left.

well thats encouraging...reggie bush hopefully won't have to shoulder all the load between the tackles this week again...

he said he would play last week so maybe he should just shut up and play

Jeez...you can't win with some people. If he came out and said nothing or said he couldn't play, people would be questioning his toughness. He SHOULD be confident that he's ready to play.

he was confident he could play last week. Just come and and say u ready to play, dont say stuff u have no control of like how much u will play

I think if daniel thomas doesn't play, or plays very little I will have a lil bird in my head telling me he's not picking up the playbook well, or something to that sort. this kid needs to get his *** out on the field. this is the guy we passed up mark ingram for, by deciding to take a OL in the first and wait on RB...for him to sit out and not contribute isn't working for me.

secondly... I'm about to just say to hell with running between the tackles, get bush out in space, sweeps, swing passes, do that and he eats up yardage. do that and he seems to find the endzone.

lil better playcalling in the redzone especially at the goal line... a run or two especially the sweeps IMO is much better playcall than the fade route...

to me a fade has to be an absolutely perfect throw, but even than the WR has be in perfect coverage and is basically in double coverage with the sideline, and if you have a decent defender on the WR it's an even harder play to execute... copy the pats if you don't run.... bess on a quick out route... much better chance for success than the fade route in my book.

We need Thomas to be decent. Not great, just decent!

He was confident that he is not looking good and could add to our history of 2nd round bust.

I'm hoping that he can simply be as good as the two older running backs we foolishly did not resign.

Seems like too many on this team wanna prolcaim a bunch of crap without going out and doing it. I wonder if Vontae feels they are the best tandem in the league now after they got torched

I wonder if henne feels like he is 2nd in the league in pass yards and tied for 1st in rushing td's???? bwahahahahahahahahahaha

D Thomas better play well tomorrow, even if it's only a hand full of plays. He hasn't shown anything and my first impression is BUST. I hope I'm wrong.
