Talked to a friend that was at chargers camp and thought i would post what he told me about Cleo.

I asked him "Who would compare him to? Hows his arm strength? Has pretty decent mobility dosnt he? and how much upside do you think he has."

"I am not sure how much upside Cleo has because after all he is unproven in NFL play, but I can tell you that he had some really good days in training camp when I was there. His pre-season was fun to watch also. He is very mobile and exciting to watch and really hope that he gets his chance to come in and shine for some team. He has really hung in there and is certainly paying his dues. Seems to have a good arm also."

Good to hear, I'm excited to get him in training camp next year with the playbook down.

It would be awesome if Cleo turns out to be our franchise guy. He has perservered through a lot to get here, he deserves to be successful. And imagine if we look back in a few years and say "We got Cleo for Feeley and a 6th? Talk about value!"

zzzzzz..z.zzz inside info??

this guy is soooo exciting that he went undrafted, waived by Green Bay and the Ravens, was 3rd string QB in NFL Europe...
completed less than 50% of his passes in college

And Brady was such a dominant QB that he was drafted in the 6th. I don't care what he's done in the past, I care about right now.

3 nfl teams passed up on him... 1 nfl europe team had him as 3rd string....

at least brady was drafted and NE kept him around.... 20-5 wins at a starter in college. had good numbers as a starter in his 2 years..

Just because teams passed on him doesnt mean he wont be good. Kurt Warner played Arena before he became MVP of the league. Can't hurt to be optimistic.

Thats the wrong mentality when it comes to judging talent level of guys. Wes welker was passed up by every team went undrafted got cut by san diego(i believe thats who) and is now outplaying a former top 10 pick for playing time(david boston) Draft status can only take you so far and the fact that he went undrafted and is still hanging around the nfl says something about the guy. I don't believe leo was brough in to be our starter just a low cost/possible high reward scenario.

did we trade a draft pick for Welker.. no...

if we signed Lemon for nothing..fine.. but not trade a pick in the draft for him....

If you don't like the Lemon trade thats fine, i am just saying you shouldn't write off someone because of there draft status.

Big freakin deal...a 6th rounder....whoopee...and you would be complaining if Feeley was still on the team so please, GIVE IT A REST!!!!!!!!

I'm sure Saban and Mueller know a little bit about evaluating talent. For them to give up a pick on the guy means that they probably saw something that was at least worth that pick. Give him a chance.

Your buddy the charger fan says he had some good days in training camp.....

Theres some great "inside info" :shakeno:

Cleo is a pipe dream and some of you will grab onto anything. It's pretty clear IMO that this was just a way for both teams to "pass the trash".
