Anyone catch that. I found what Wiley said about the Dolphins to be very positive. He said we are a win now team because of the TG acquisition and an aging defense. Woodson mentioned he "likes" TG but thinks we made a bad move in not getting a QB of the future in the draft (He must have missed that part of the draft when we spent that 2nd round pick). His biggest areas of concerns were TG has to come in and lead immediately, our OL must work out, and our secondary must get better (comparing 46 sacks to 8 interceptions as a great weakness in the secondary) Wiley and Woodson both do not see us getting into the playoffs this year because of the AFC and the division although both think we are close and both agreed we could, would be in next year.

Overall I thought it was a very positive report

the fins must hope they turn things around like the Ravens and Saints did in 2006. Both of those teams went from top ten draft selections to playoffs.

Like the Ravens we went out and got a veteran QB. Like the saints we added speed and playmakers to offense. Who knows, stranger things have happened in the NFL.

I'm not counting us out of the playoffs yet. For sure our division will be tough, but its always tough. We have to win our non-division games and go at least .500 in divisional games. Then we have good shot. If our offense can put up 20 points a game, I like our chances.

Im not counting us out either. I think the games we have on our schedule are very winnable and with a little luck we could go 10-6 11-5

I like how Fran had to remind Rod that we drafted John Beck in the second round. I find Rod's knowledge lacking whenever he tries to break anything down.

Im not going to name names, but I suspect there are a couple of finheaven members disquised as dolphin fans who are actually Rod Woodson.

Wiley knew what was up though. He knows the phins will be a force this year.

I think a big part of how this season turns out is how good of an offensive line we can put together. We need to get us a highly competent, highly trained, highly conditioned, confident, gelled, disciplined, super professional group of azz kickin' Olinemen.

Let's hope that this guy here can make it happen.

Let's hope he can transform our Olinemen into bigtime NFL studs ... maybe one or two of them will end up in the Pro Bowl. A huge part of the process is about to begin in training camp in the next week or so.

"Can the Dolphins find the right combinations on the offensive line?
The Dolphins' offensive line was not very consistent in 2006. Offensive line coach Hudson Houck will be under the gun to develop chemistry within an offensive line that has a lot of moving parts. Can former first-round pick Vernon Carey handle the left tackle position? Carey is a versatile player who could play either tackle position. He is a better run-blocker than pass-blocker and could have his hands full in protecting the quarterback's backside. L.J. Shelton has always had weight issues and looked very sluggish in the offseason. He is a versatile player who has been inconsistent throughout his career. Rex Hadnot is a versatile player who must continue to rely on his technique and improve his consistency. He is a big inside guard who relies on angles and body position to create inside run lanes. Two rookies could start on the inside: Samson Satele and Drew Mormino. Satele is the leader in the clubhouse to handle the right guard position, while Mormino will compete for the starting left guard position with Chris Liwienski."

I was disappointed in this feature on the NFLN. Im recovering from surgery on my ankle, so i sat here on the couch all day waiting for that feature. There wasnt anything new and Woodson totally forgot about Beck.

I wish i would have had dvds of old games to watch while i sit here laid up on the couch. Gosh i cant wait till camp!

I agree. I was very POed when Woodson blantantly showed everyone watching NFLN that he didnt know what he was talking about. Wiley had some nice, positive commentary but Woodson (who I normally like) ??? I don't know what is going on but this season has been the worse in terms of analysis and media reporting that I can compare to previous years. Its like aliens came from outer space and sucked out all the intellect and rationalization out of every sports journalists head

all i can say is this year's season is gonna be a blast to watch no matter if we make the playoffs or not we actually have excitement on offense WOO!!!

If we can manage a decent record in our own division we might be alright. We seem to flop against our division.

If we go at least 3-3 in our division I think we have a pretty good shot at the playoffs IMO
