What do all these stats mean?

Absolutely nothing.

they mean nothing....lol
Nice job compiling them though

They are however at least encouraging to some degree....thinking we will be better than most think

Cant wait for the Pre-season Playoffs to begin... We're gonna rock!!!

CK put together some very telling stats that I'd like to borrow as they expose what exactly the 1st team did against 1st team defenses. Excluding the Falcons game the offense had 10 drives, scored 17 points, fumbled once and punted 5 times. That is not at all impressive and is a more realistic view of where this team actually stands on offense.

This board has been swayed into believing the offense is set based on Henne not turning the ball over the against Carolina and Tampa and the back ups playing better then the opposing back ups. Lets see what happens in the first couple of weeks against the Pats and Texans.

Fun fact: The Dolphins have never had a losing season when they've gone 3-1 in the pre-season.

Should we apologize now for having some hope about the season? =)

Of course not. That's the whole point of the preseason. Team plays well and it gives you hope, team plays bad and it's just the preseason. As long as no one gets hurt, there's nothing negative to take out of the preseason.

only that came out is that we will be more aggressive on the offensive side of the ball, marshall with that long td catch against the bucs, and that 42 yd catch by gates, don't think we saw too much of that last year. and we also have some nice depth on the defensive side, jimmy wilson and aj edds will be all over the field this year

almost last in rushing ;(
some of these stats are telling

seems henne and moore get along saw them laughing together when O'Connell
tried to run head 1st for first down

i'm concerned with only these stats on offense:

1) First downs
2) 3rd down conversions
3) Penalties
4) Turnovers
5) Points scored (more touchdowns than FG)
6) Plays over 20 yds

I like what I see so far in limited play without some key players like Long, Bush, and Marshall.

The only thing that worries me (aside from the O-line) is the ability of the defense to force turnovers. They didn't do a good job last season and they haven't shown anything this preseason that suggests actually holding onto INTs or forcing fumbles.

This preseason has shown me that at least we have better depth. We have generally outplayed most 2nd and 3rd string lineups. There is hope and it all starts with Henne.
