Inside Miami's 3-1 Preseason Record

The only thing that worries me (aside from the O-line) is the ability of the defense to force turnovers. They didn't do a good job last season and they haven't shown anything this preseason that suggests actually holding onto INTs or forcing fumbles.

What about the ball Vontae took away from Mike Williams (who is a big aggressive WR)? Granted, he had his hands all over him, but he came down with the ball. I didn't see us drop more than 2 balls I dont think.

CK put together some very telling stats that I'd like to borrow as they expose what exactly the 1st team did against 1st team defenses. Excluding the Falcons game the offense had 10 drives, scored 17 points, fumbled once and punted 5 times. That is not at all impressive and is a more realistic view of where this team actually stands on offense.

This board has been swayed into believing the offense is set based on Henne not turning the ball over the against Carolina and Tampa and the back ups playing better then the opposing back ups. Lets see what happens in the first couple of weeks against the Pats and Texans.

And all that time the Dolphins spent game planning for those games...what a waste. Well, I guess we suck again.

The drawback from becoming a better passing team is that you get worse in the rushing stats.

This preseason has shown me that at least we have better depth. We have generally outplayed most 2nd and 3rd string lineups. There is hope and it all starts with Henne.

We always do this during Sparano's tenure here. Remember the 4-0 2009 preseason?I've seen every preseason game under sparano and our team usually starts slow and once the backups come in against the other team's 2nd and 3rd team we always come back and look stronger than they do.
