Inside the NFL..........

Who cares how Sage looked? I mean, however he looks Ray looks 10 x worse. Ray is loosing the games for us, who cares if we put in a QB with no expierience if we are loosing? Loosing is Loosing, I rather loose with Sage than loose with Ray because Ray alreayd lost 3 straight which is far too many for me.

Anybody know the progression in QB rating for Lucas over his three starts?

It ain't saying much (considering that his first start consisted of an outstanding performance for the opponents AND because winning is the only stat that matters), but it has moved in the correct direction.

I wonder what minimum ray-rating would likely equate to a win?

Well, I've said it since day one. Ray has been the major cause for at least 2 losses. If we had put Sage in, could the results of been worse? No, in fact the results would of been better actually. While we may of still lost both games, Sage would of gained invaluable experience. Something you don't get in camp or in practice. A veteran QB giving up 9 turnovers in 3 games is horrible and would cause him to be benched, correct? A rookie doing the same would be considered bad, but expected and chalked up to a learning experience. Look at Peyton Manning's first year. He was terrible, but look at his second year.
Thus losing with Sage would be more beneficial to us in the long run compared to losing with Ray.

I'm with the majority here. If Lucas struggles (and he probably will) I'm all for putting Sage in there. Things couldn't get too much worse and we could get lucky and find a Kurt Warner/Mark Bulger type deal...unlikey, but possible.
