• This marks the 16th time in 51 Dolphins seasons they’ve had a five-game winning streak. It also happened from 1970-75, from 1983-85, in 1990, 1992, 1993, 1999, 2005 and 2008.

• The Dolphins finished with a winning record in every season and made the playoffs in 13 of those seasons (the exceptions were 1975, 1993 and 2005).

• This is the third time the Dolphins began a five-game winning streak after having a losing record. It happened in 1975 when they won seven consecutive games after starting the season 0-1 and in 2005 when they were 3-7 before winning their last six games to finish 9-7.

• As is the case this year, the Dolphins had a first-year head coach in 2005 with Nick Saban. Adam Gase is now the fourth head coach with a five-game winning streak in his first season with the Dolphins after Tony Sparano (2008), Nick Saban (2005) and Don Shula (1970).

• Defensive end Cameron Wake had 6.5 sacks in the five victories, the fourth-highest total in the NFL from Week 6-11 behind the 8.5 by Kansas City’s Dee Ford, the 8 by Seattle’s Cliff Avril and the 7 by Oakland’s Khalil Mack. It should be pointed out that Ford and Avril played six games during that span, while Wake and Mack each had a bye.

• RB Jay Ajayi’s 685 rushing yards during the five-game winning streak easily was the highest total in the NFL between Weeks 6-11. Dallas rookie Ezekiel Elliott had the second-highest total at 556 yards. Ajayi also had the highest yards-per-carry average during that span at 6.12 yards, almost a full year better than second-place Jeremy Hill of the Cincinnati Bengals (5.34).

• The Dolphins’ top four defensive performances of the season in terms of yardage allowed have come during the winning streak, topped by the season-low 227 yards they gave up against the Rams on Sunday. The Dolphins also allowed a season-low 15.38 third-down conversion rate in that game.

• The five lowest completion percentages allowed by the Dolphins all came during the winning streak.

• Quarterback Ryan Tannehill has a 99.3 passer rating and a 67.8 completion percentage during the winning streak, compared to an 83.6 rating and a 64.1 completion percentage in the first five games.

So what you are saying is that when the offense and defense plays really well, we win? Haha

It's great to see the Dolphins playing really well and winning!
