A good friend of mine lives in San Antonia Texas and is a huge A&M fan so I asked his opinion via Facebook on Tannehill. Here's the conversation.

Me- Give me the inside scoop on Tannehill

Him - Hell of an athlete, beautiful stature at 6'4 LEGIT. Throws a very catchable ball, great footwork and can run. VERY smart and knows ALL the routes that recivers run because he played the position for 2 and a half years...in saying that, he couldn't beat out the starter until the starter lost almost ALL his arm stregth from a shoulder injury. he is a coaches son though and will hit the play book hard. Needs some seasoning, but will be a beast if given time to develop. Do not throw him into the fire and ask him to start right away because he is not ready to play QB at that level just yet. Give him 2 years and you are looking at maybe a Matt Ryan at the worst.

Me - You need to be on NFL network, damn! Is he worth the 8th overall pick? If u were GM would u take him at 8?

Him - ‎@ 8?...LOL!!!! HELL NO!!!..but because of the premium for QB's in the NFL he will be over valued. IMO, he is AT BEST worthy of a 3rd rounder, expect him to prob go higher though. He is a GREAT PROSPECT, but do you draft prospects @ 8?....Nope ;)

Though it was interesting.

How is this inside info?

Because it's coming from someone that has watched every Texas A&M game for the past 20 years, is the title misleading? The way these Fake "Insiders" are throwing crap on the walls in hope of something sticking, a Fan's perspective is just as much inside info as any of these other reporters opinions or these so called draft experts.

If I watch every A&M game and offer an opinion I am a fan giving my thoughts. Mike Sherman has inside info.

Don't be surprised if the Browns draft him at #4.

I've been saying this forever about Tannehill. His value isn't TOP 10, period. He also struggled something terrible against the better defenses in the BIG 12.

TAM was a preseason favorite and TOP 10 pick. Tannehill then proceeded to lead his team to 4 wins in the conference and Sherman losing his job.

The kid is raw. And isn't NFL ready.

It's inside info in the same way as I have inside info on Jake Long because I'm a Dolphin fan.

Not sure if you're being sarcastic here or not but I'll say this, your information and opinion of Long is more inside than a non dolphins fan living in a different state that rarely ever watches a dolphins game no?

A good friend of mine

I almost stopped right there.... but continued on....

VERY smart and knows ALL the routes that recivers run because he played the position for 2 and a half years...

That's where I stopped reading.... because he's played QB for 2 1/2 years he knows all the routes that receivers run?

First off, I hope my QB knows all the routes the receivers are running.

Second, call me old fashioned, but I like my QB to have a little more experience than 2 years playing the position.

Does any body remember Daniel Thomas?? He was a QB his whole career, turned RB. He was a RB for ohhhhh about 2 years before we drafted him...... no more "projects," not again please!

It's better than the 100 "Ireland Sucks" and "Peyton Manning Watch" threads.

8 is way to high. but if we cant grab a qb we will have to reach.

WHY?!?! Why do we "have to reach"???

Reaching in the draft has been whats kept us in a perpetual state of being a door mat to the rest of the league.

Jared Odrick.
Ted Ginn Jr.
Jason Allen.
Just to name a few off the top of my head.
