Insider info on Tannehill

I almost stopped right there.... but continued on.... That's where I stopped reading.... because he's played QB for 2 1/2 years he knows all the routes that receivers run? First off, I hope my QB knows all the routes the receivers are running. Second, call me old fashioned, but I like my QB to have a little more experience than 2 years playing the position. Does any body remember Daniel Thomas?? He was a QB his whole career, turned RB. He was a RB for ohhhhh about 2 years before we drafted him...... no more "projects," not again please!
He was saying he played the WR position for 2 1/2 years prior to being a QB.

WHY?!?! Why do we "have to reach"???

Reaching in the draft has been whats kept us in a perpetual state of being a door mat to the rest of the league.

Jared Odrick.
Ted Ginn Jr.
Jason Allen.
Just to name a few off the top of my head.

Odrick? He was probably going to be the next pick by the Jets.

Not to be a dick but please read things before you post.... the guy played WR for 2 1/2 years before turning into a QB thats y he knows the routes so well.

To the original poster thanks for the info. It is more and better info then most people on here knew about the guy even though no one here will admit it cuz everyone here is a "scout". I could have told u he wasnt worth a top ten pick or a first rounder but with us and a few other teams being so desperate for a QB we will probably draft him and suck for the next 2-3 years.

My god man this is NOT inside information I mean really I have a friend that went to A&M and he's an idiot and not in a good Rain Man kind of way. Do you have any
idea what A&M fans do at half time? With each other? Without pants? I realize your friend has downs and you are trying to be supportive but can you post this maybe
on a Jets board or something I am just spit balling here.

That told us nothing more than what somebody watching the game on tv could have. dedicated, knowledgeable fan...yes. Insider...no.

Odrick wasn't a reach but thanks for playing

Damn, living in san Antonio AND being an aggie fan. Talk about bad luck haha

I am a little lost with the fact that in 2 years he won't be any worse than Matt Ryan but he is not worth more than a 3rd round pick. Hmmmmmm?

ummmm I think the point was that he knows the routes the receivers run because he played RECEIVER for 2 1/2 years before converting to QB not the other way around. :-\

This is an opinion not inside info....

You guy's are killing me! First off the tag says OPINION! That's number 1. #2 You all are acting like a bunch of damn women sweating the small stuff. Read the post if you choose and take it for what it is, an opinion from a person with more knowledge of the player than some people on this board including myself. If you already knew what he said and got nothing out of it fine. Read the next post. DAMN!

I think our best bet is to draft Floyd or Ingram at 8 and draft Brock Osweiler to develop in round 2 then tak a reciever in the third and linebacker depth with the other third

I can't say I Disagree with that. Matt Ryan is maybe an above average QB but surely not elite. My point is, if he's not going to be an elite QB I'd rather use that pick on someone I think WILL be elite at whatever position they play. (with the exception of offensive line, no more 1st rd olinemen pics)
