Insight from LeBatard?

That was a great article. He usually is too sarcastic and blurs reality.

He usually brings it.

Say what you want about him, but Le Batard usually writes excellent columns. This was no exception.

Agree 100%. Moss was open all day and so was T.O. He has to step up to be considered the beast he has been called.

I thought the article was very honest.

Frerotte played better than Pennington. Problem is, Pennington's supporting cast played better than Frerotte's.
The article was unfair to Gus.

LeBatard is a moron. First, pythons don't strike, they strangle. Second, the Steelers have, and have had, plenty of big-play capability (WParker is reputedly one of the fastest RBs in the NFL, Hines Ward is a top 5-6 receiver, in previous years Plaxico Burress averaged 20 yards per catch, etc.) Third, while Le******* now has his nose permanently embedded in TO's rear, he fails to mention that TO averaged only about 55 catches and 800 yards through his first 4 years in the NFL, which is less than what Chambers has done in his first 4 years. Fourth, last year in Minnesota, Moss had 49 catches for 767 yards in 13 games, as compared to Chambers' 69 for 898 in 15 games (pretty comparable). Fifth, in the games that Moss missed last year, Culpepper was 65 of 94, for 768 yards, 7 TDs and 1 INT. I'd hardly call that looking lost. If he looks lost this year, it's more likley because he has a new OC and a new offense that he's still learning.

I'm not saying that Chambers is as good as TO or Moss, but the facts don't support LeBatard's premise that a top WR puts up the big numbers on any team and in any system.

Nice reply.
I don't respect Lebatard one bit either.
I refuse to listen to 790 simply because of him.
On the contrary to what many surprisingly have said here, Lebatard rarely writes anything of substance and he is the king of backtracking once one of his "insights" go up in flames as they usually do.
