Instant Replay Question..

Hello guys~

I have been on this website all the time and enjoy reading most threads that get put up here. My question is to those that might have more inside to the NFL. Will there ever be a time that referee calls can get instant reply? I question this because there have been countless times that a game gets turnaround on a “mysterious†holding call or some other dumb call that after looking at it the refs got it all wrong. I know that would make the refs look worse if their calls could be challenged but it would at least make the outcome of the game more “acceptableâ€Â. I mention this because how many times have we watch the Dolphins play the Patriots and a “mysterious†Pass Interference or Holding call gets mentioned and after looking at the replay there was nothing. That is what makes me so sick afterwards. Has this even been mentioned before? I can’t recall ever hearing about being able to challenge a call made on the field. On a side note, it is interesting to read the reviews on all these college QB’s that might/are coming to the draft. I just hope that we get a QB in the first round, without reaching, just to know that the position finally gets the attention necessary. All though there are a lot of "phantom" calls, I just don't see them actaully challenging a referee's call. That, IMO, would be taking instant replay too far.

I doubt it because if you look at a replay, there is someone holding somewhere every play. It just wont happen.

i think the challenge the penlty will never be in the nfl its just not rite

if your correct then you dont lose a time out and your dont lose the challenge

Yea, I totally agree with that!!! I never understood why you lose one if you get the challenge right anyway. I don't care if a team ended up challenging 10 or more differen't calls during the coarse of the game to get it right. This being said though I think the current replay system works pretty well, and I don't care how they tweak it, just as long as they still keep it. It was just STUPID when they got rid of instant replay for those few years.
