Instead of postinng another mock draft I thought I'd post something relevant to our fate on draft day. Here's a link to Randy Mueller's draft-history BEFORE joining the Dolphins.

I didn;t bother including research on his Dolphins picks mainly because it's commonly accepted that he and Saban did not see eye to eye on talent, and that Randy's been handcuffed the last few years. So, to get an idea of how Randy might perform this year, without Saban's input, I only included links to how Randy drafted/signed free agents before he came here.

I also figure that most Dolfans already know who we've drafted there the last few years under Randy.

After reading Randy's history, I have to say that he seems to evealuate talent pretty well in the 1st and 2nd rounds (which isn;t as hard to do, IMHO), but found few values in the low round picks (4th and lower).

That means our first pick better be a home run, since the rest will only be average at best.

yeah i have avoided doing a mock to this point. i see them as kind of pointless until free agency hits and the combine is run. They are kind of fun to read at this point so don't get me wrong, but every player seems to be a bandwagon player when a highlight video shows up on youtube until the next video comes out and that player is old news again. however it is football talk and we do need something so i am not hating on the mocks.

Yeah, I love mocks too, because I am a football addict and there's not much other football news that's available to read for up to four hours a day.

After reading about thirty mock drafts though, there's not much point reading a thirty-first, thirty-second, thitry-third one guessing which team might do what.

damn read that before but after reading it again this man REALLY can pick good players and evaluate. DiD YOU NOTICE how he traded teh 1st and 3rd for drafting LT Jones? does this mean miami goes after Thomas with taht so called rumore of trading in the draft? i think its a strong possibility. i dont see it for CJ but rather Thomas or QUinn as the only reasons he may pull the trigger. He has realy picked up very very solid FA's and drafties. this excites me :)

I just hope we can afford whoever he drafts.

I don't want our first pick not getting signed till after Training Camp. J Allen wasn't worth the Hassle.

Great article. I'm actually looking forward to seeing what he and Cam can do for us in this year's draft and F/A. They always seem OK picks at the time, that turn out to be gems over the course of time. I'm guessing it may not be the sexy picks other teams want to make and that we might be ??? about now, but in a couple years, we'll be saying what an awesome draft we had in 07. Compared to what we now do with our previous drafts saying, what the #$%@ were they thinking!

Mueller's got a pretty good eye for the first two rounds but isn't so much in later ones. That may be acceptable but we've got a good history of faring pretty well with our later picks.

Looks pretty damn impressive to me. The draft can't come soon enough for me.

Great info. Gave you 5 stars despite having Mularkey on your avatar.

Are you related to the guy?
