Can someone please humor me here. I simply dont get what is happening with the team right now.

I understand that every team has bad years and some have average years and some have really great years. Ever since the early 90's we have been a average team at best ,when we were good on defense we were bad on offense and vise versa.

why is it that we have the worst draft record in the nfl and that people say miami is a place where veterans go to die.

my question here is why do people put Parcells and sparano on a pedestal and close their eyes to our contiuing woes ?

how many years is it going to take to field a really good team where oponets fear playing us ?

I think Parcells and company can turn it around but why do other teams get draft picks that make a difference and we get guys like jake long whio go abused and a guy like ginn who plays half hearty ?

I may be the only fan that will say this but this is my team too and I really want to get really good on both sides of the ball . in all honesty it seems like the dolphins have become the marlins and are afraid to get the best and are settling for less .

the bottom line is other bad teams are getting good offensivly while we still seem to score only 17 points at the most and that wont get us to the superbowl.
what I want to know is why is it taking the dolphins much longer to rebuild then other teams ?

The ineptitude of the previous regimes.

You don't see the Patriots switching GM's and coaches every year.

They also draft well, we do not (or have not). The fact that other than Yeremiah Bell we don't have ANYBODY on the team (from drafts) from 2004 or older is a complete disgrace.

Right....then the question becomes...who is responsible for the inept regimes?

I feel your pain brother. I, too want to see the Dolphins do well on both sides of the ball. I think everyone here does. Just hang in there bro. It's funny how you drew the anology of the Marlins. Immediately I thought, "well, at least we're not giving away great players," then I remembered Welker...and Thomas... And JT. It's been a while since we could say that the Dolphins have had an impressive offense; I'm thirsty for one too. To my knowledge (please correct me if I'm wrong), Parcells has drafted well. Tony Sparano looks promising. I hope thy can begin to re-re-rebuild this team offensively, through the draft, within my lifespan. It would be wonderful, and I believe they can do it.

I also see what you're saying about settling for less. I don't know why they don't go for a "number one receiver." Maybe they want the lower caliber receivers to get the experience and playing time they need to learn and grow. I don't know.

Once again, I feel you bro.
