One of the problems we see with culpepper is his unwillingness to take the shots downfield now. I am not sure if its because he is coming off the injury and doesn't have his confidence or because the o-line is bad. I think one thing that has given him confidence in the past was knowing the wr would go up and get the deep passes from him. He was forced to throw deep and he was good at it, after the randy ratio was instituted it gave him confidence in the deep ball. If we were able to get some confidence in his deep ball by putting a "chambers ratio" into place for even just a few games I am all for it.

When he had a Randy ratio he wasnt just good at throwing the deep ball to Moss. He was good at throwing it to everyone because it seemed he had confidence. I feel that even though Culpep isnt a major problem for this team that he still doesn't have that confidence in his deep ball anymore. Find a way to force him to throw it deep and get that swagger back.

Oh, I just thought of this idea. I don't really think it will work because our o-line is a disaster and its kind of a stupid idea. I just figured it would be fun to throw it out there.

I dont blame daunte, I blame the o-line and mularky. I just think that he does sometimes go to the dump off man too soon and doesnt take enough shots downfield. That has never been a problem with him and I think he might just not have the confidence to let it loose.

Oh, I in no way condone the chambers ratio idea. I was just thinking and I am really bored right now.

i think we took a good amount of long passes today..and the thing is..Culpepper completed a good amount of them

Or maybe its the lack of protection and the recievers not getting enough seperation from the defenders

Then again what do I know

Lol, I completely agree with the lack of protection. Like I said, I was throwing this out there just for the hell of it.
