interesting article about Corey Dillon

Cory Dillon's a great guy but another runningback is probably the last thing we need right now.

no thanks, maybe in cinci when he was more humble...ever since he went to NE he has been very arrogant.

I agree with his thinking about retiring. In New England, it is Maroney time. Dillon already has a ring, and has ran for over 10,000 yds. He has nothing else to prove.
About him coming to Miami, no, please stop. I think that is funny how every time a player is cut released or talks about going else where, most people imagine that they could end up in Miami. There are 31 other NFL teams out there. Besides, I think that our RB situation is very good. With Ricky coming back, (which is still left to see), and Morris as backup, if he stays, we do not need someone like Dillon. I would look into someone younger, who could remain as a back up to Ronnie if necessary for more than a year.
Just my thoughts on the issue.

I don't agree with that, he is just a really proud and quiet man who isn't fond of the media.

wow. just WOW. whose next?

You guys CONSIDER acquiring EVERYOEN that gets released. it tends to get a tad bit annoying. Oo yea, Pippen is also comin out of retirement, we can use him as a tight end. Im down. Surprised i haven't seen threads like taht yet.

....my uncle bob just retired from UPS, maybe we could sign him. Sheesh.

I like Corey, but he is getting a bit long in the tooth. I really wouldn't mind getting him though if we traded Ricky.

Corey still has talent.

Corey Dillon is either getting to old or was playing out of shape last year. I can think of 2 or 3 occasions, especially against us, where when Dillon ran he was getting 5 or 6 yards per pop and when Maroney ran he was getting 1 or 2yards per pop. Yet for some stupid reason the football genoius (BB) kept running Maroney even though it looked like Dillon copuld have ran on us all day long. The same can be said for the AFC championship game. Dillon must be out of shape because I find it hard to believe NE wouldn't have stuck with the hot hand.

I agree with that. If Ricky isn't re-instated or we trade Ricky Then I think Corey is a good goal line back and a great 3rd and short back.

I doubt it is that Dillon is out of shape. Maroney is just good enough that you have to give him some carries. Some NE fans wanted Maroney to start over Dillon.

I'm unsure of his contract status, but I believe he would either have to be a free agent or released by New England before he retired or else we'd probably have to give them some type of compensation, which we shouldn't do.

Proud is one thing, but totally dissing teams is another. I remember on a couple occasions when he bashed our team and said he couldnt wait to "run all over us" and "we are a sad bunch". When he was in Cinci he was quiet, but since he has been with the Rat-Triots he hasnt been so much.
