Interesting Article on Ryan Tannehill on ESPNs website

Dan Marino's 1984 season is the most impressive in the history of pro sports, in my opinion.

He was 30 years ahead of his time.

Stats taken in a vacuum can be misused to support an invalid hypothesis.

Sure, Tanny has stats that would put him in the upper-echelon of QBs, even by today's standards (well, maybe not this year though.) But failure to accumulate stats isnt why people claim he is a mediocre QB, it is because he lacks (or has been lacking) the intangibles that would set him apart.

Look at Blake Bortles, the guy is already getting a reputation as a garbage-time QB. Great stats, but he doesnt make plays when they count the most.

Not true, if we measure by wins, posters would still be down on Tannehill (proven). Posters and fans apparently want WINS, and Elite stats to be happy with a QB. Tannehill is playing like a top 15 QB, and he's paid like one, and the dolphins for better or worse, have the w/l record of a team in the middle of the pack.

if thill17 cant get job done trade for tony rome next yr.

thill17 is like joke of football qb....when dolphins make play than u can bring his name up

LOL I do not want Tony Romo. A hard rainstorm in South Florida will injure him. No thanks.

there is nothing you can say about thill17 at this stage of his career. either you can play or you cannot play

I think people are losing interest because so many teams year after year don't really have a real chance at winning it all. How many teams really have a shot this year? 2? 3?

tony romo is going to be 37 by the time we're into next season, he hasn't played a full season since he was 32. He ONLY played in 4 games in 2015. There is nothing to look at objectively to say... "TONY is a Savior".

Meh. I agree in part.

We have people that will hate Tanny no matter what, nothing we can do about them. We have people that love him no matter what. Then rest fall into the catagory that I'm in, we see he has issues with certain parts of his game and we want to see him improve, but we are growing impatient. But really, those are just our opinions of him.

If wins were the measuring stick for a QB around here, then Jay Fiedler would have had ALOT more support than he did.

Winning the last two games put our Tanny ripes on the back-burner for now. Ajayi has taken alot of the pressure off of him.

Tanny shows flashes, and that's what makes him so frustrating for us. He needs consistency.
