Say you have a chance at one of the following players and, for the sake of argument, they are all 25 -- with three years in the league:

Phil Simms
Jason Taylor
Kevin Carter
Richard Seymour
Ed Reed
Keyshawn Johnson

Who would you take for the current Dolphins? I ask that because the following players have been compared to these guys.

Phil Simms -- Brady Quinn
Jason Taylor -- Jarvis Moss (my own comparison)
Kevin Carter -- Anderson, Arkansas (also compared to Seymour)
Richard Seymour -- Alan Branch
Ed Reed -- Laron Landry
Keyshawn Johnson -- Dwayne Jarrett

Now that doesn't mean that these players in the 2007 draft will become the kind of players they are compared to, but it does give a little more sense of what you might be getting. Personally, I like the Simms/Quinn comparison. Simms wasn't a superstar, but a quality quarterback and I think that's what a team will get with Quinn. Jarrett might fall somewhere between Johnson and Terrell Owens. Moss reminds me a lot of Taylor and I believe he'll end up going a lot higher than his projected right now. I haven't seen Anderson so would appreciate feedback on him. Love to hear what you all think.

Dwayne Jarrett definately reminds me of Keyshawn in the way he goes for the ball. What about Gaines Adams compared to JT? Adams is a better DE/OLB than Moss is. He has the same motor that JT has. Just never stops.

I would definately take Landry out of all those.

Omobi Okoye. faster than a speeding bullet...only 19 yrs old ..Looks like LT coming out of UNC. We all know what LT did with that speed and pass rushing. Are you going to pass on him? has psych degree with 3.5 gpa in three yrs...can you beat that intelligence?

I like him a lot. I've read comparisons to Warren Sapp, but at close to 290 he is a much smaller version. Sapp was never great against the run, though, and I think Okoye is probably average in that regard for a DT. The thing about Okoye is he could also play defensive end. I like the way he gets under the offensive lineman's pads and he is definitely a dominant pass rusher.

Adams, Moss and Spencer all look like great prospects with Gaines #1 among those three. Landry would be an excellent pick for Miami. I think that could really solidify the secondary and give the defense a lot of options such as moving either Allen or Landry to corner. Personally, I like the idea of teamming Allen and Landry at safety. Bell had a nice year, but he is also very injury prone.
