Interesting Dolphin encounters

I grew up close to Chicago and always went to the Fins/Colts game every year in Indy. A couple different times we stayed at the hotel that was attached to the RCA Dome (where the Phins stayed nights before games). My brother, dad, uncle, and I would get up really early and hang out in the lobby and get autographs from the guys as they went to and from breakfast and to their morning meetings. The most memorable being Danny's 36th career 4th quarter comeback in 99. I think I was 13 or 14. And I got Jimmy Johnson's autograph while he was walking through the lobby. Then riding up the elevator to our room my brother and I were in the elevator with T Buck and Tim Bowens and got their autographs (Bowens was HUGE. There wasnt room for anybody else haha). Got a number of other guys signatures like wooden, calvin jackson, brock marion, robert jones, troy drayton, ed perry, and a few others that I can't remember without looking at my mini helmet.
After they all went back to their rooms, we waited in the skywalk for them to walk to the game. Zach Thomas and O.J. McDuffie each stopped for my brother and I and took a picture with us and signed the cover of my 1998 media guide). Little did I know I'd later be watching an amazing game to cap off my day.
This experience is one of the reasons I continue to be a fan and try to have faith in the organization turning around.

Elway , Y.A. Title , Sonny Jurgensen now that's so history. I remember Sonny played with a beer belly and threw end over end passes but the dude won lots of games for Washington.

I remember Sonny Jurgensen playing in the early 70's when I first started watching football...they had a lot of good battles against Roger Staubach and Cowboys. Ohhh and i just remember the place I went to a barbecue was actually at the house of another Skin's QB, Billy Kilmer, not Jurgensen. I think Jurgensen was at the party as well. My brother was getting married in the Virginia area that week, and he knew people who knew the Kilmers. The house was right on the James River.

Good stuff. I needed a break from SFL.
