Interesting info from Dave Hyde on how Drew Rosenhaus views the Dolphins front office

I will say that it was pretty classless how Ireland handled the Bell situation, for the last 2 weeks Ireland has been promising bell and rosenhaus that Bell WOULD NOT be cut,

Ireland never said Bell wouldnt be cut.

Bell never said he wouldnt be cut.

Rosenhaus never said Bell would be cut.

So who exactly said Bell was promised he wouldnt be cut?

Nonsense, you are asking me to believe that Drew was really surprised that Ireland would do what he did. GM's do it this every day. Only Dolphin fans would get their panties in a bunch. This constant whining over nothing is beyond old, and irrational.
Actually, I'm not asking you anything and I have no idea what this gibberish you just wrote is in response to.

I will say that it was pretty classless how Ireland handled the Bell situation, for the last 2 weeks Ireland has been promising bell and rosenhaus that Bell WOULD NOT be cut, Ireland even made public statements about how Bell was to valuable to this team and he is not going anywhere, a few days before FA started Ireland once again assured YB that we would not be cut, but low and behold a week later YB is cut, see the problem with this is you don't promise a team Captain that he is not going to be cut then cut him when the free agent market has dried up and leave him with very limited options, the respectful thing to do would have been to not lie and be honest and tell YB that we want to move in a different direction and cut him when FA starts so he can have a fair shake and get picked up by another team, it's just classless to do that to a team captain, Ireland did YB dirty.

Please find a reputable source for this and please do use use Drew.

For what it's worth, I believe there were reports that Ireland told Drew he had no plans to cut Bell. IMO, the keywords was/is, no plans.

No one can ever say they believe Drew..........he has an agenda.

Yes you do. At minimum have you have been reading the crap ppl have been posting here. Your implication was just as irrational.

Drew is not an idiot, and you have no idea what his true feelings are. I don't see Drew or Ireland as morons or idiots, no reason to imply either one of them are.

The key word is actually "reports". Some idiot reporter stirring the pot again. I'd like to know who told him Bell was promised he wouldnt be cut. I seriously doubt a GM would EVER promise that to a player.

Yea.. and that's why Omar wrote this morning that Bell would resign with the dolphins.

Trust me, the players knows it's a business.

Definitely the players know it's a business. We as fans have more "team loyalty" than anyone else involved, players, coaches, hell even owners. Y-Bell is a long in the tooth vet, looking for a few last paydays before he has to retire, not a put down, but he will probably never have the opportunity to earn as much money outside of football as he can earn now. Oh, he will still play to the best of his ability, but he wants to play, so of course he would be open to returning to the Phins, "oatmeal is better than no meal."

You and I are on opposite sides of the opinion divide, but that has nothing to do with your response to what I said in this thread. I called Drew a political creature because he is. I don't know what his true feelings are. No one knows what his true feelings are because he always keeps it close to the vest and presents only his political side.

Which makes the whole 'no one wants to play here' argument ridiculous. Soliai now maybe Bell are re-signing........shocking.

Exactly.. the media has been on a witch hunt since Ireland gave Bryant a heavy dose of reality. Big mouths like Sapp, Porter, and Irvin like to jump on it and protect the "fraternity" of the NFLPA, but the reality is, at the time, many GMs and coaches mentioned that much worse things have been said in the past.

No matter what Rosenhaus says, we can all see Bell is declining on the field. I've got no problem with moving on.
It's better to cut a player a year or two early than a year late

Bell can go play SS in Darren Sharpers's now vacated, I mean soon to be vacant position - and Rosenhaus is looking after himself as is Ireland - you know what cures all - winning

NO will have some holes to fill Porter and Channing can go there to -
