please dont cut me up if this has been already reported...ive been a little out of the loop, so youll have to forgive me...its really not earthbreaking...just an interesting note...

anyway, so im driving into toronto today, when on the radio, they mention the whole culpepper/childress debaukle...the DJ of the all sports station, who is a huge vikings fan, gave his insight into the situation...

he says hes friends with a minnesota front office member, who told the DJ this... apparently the rift between culpepper and childress dates back to culpeppers draft year...the eagles went for mcnabb and let culpepper slide...but it was something that rubbed childress wrong the first time...something was said in the interviews...and since then, culpepper has had it in for childress...when they met up recently, culpepper wanted to know that childress had faith in him...childress who still carries somethign against donovan from the pre draft interviews, pegged dante as the next TO...childress wanted dante to take some sort of a pay cut, and dante knew immediately, he was not wanted in minnesota and became a mute to the situation...childress went out and put dante on the market...

anyway, this is what was said today...hope its a good read...

Say it with me now, "Childress is a child!"

I sincerely hope Miami player Minnesota this year and crushes them. Nothing would make me happier than to watch C-Pep make Childress his b!tch.

I posted something on this earlier that got removed cause it was from ESPN insider. The article said also that Childress was an assistant coach at a pro bowl and he basically didn't let Culpepper play until the very end and that escalated the fued. It also said that Childress should worry about his own guys and that showed his immaturity as a head coach by making cheap shots in the media after the trade. Let it go was the title of the article.

We got a steal for a 2nd rounder IMO if he is healthy. Culpepper i'm sure will be eager to prove his critics wrong including Childress as well, which bodes well for us.

That's right.

Culpepper is looking pretty good right now by being, by far, the more mature of the two, taking the high road.

Childress is getting a smack down from some of the media and league sources for behaving so badly.

The one thing that so many people forget is that the VIkings were trying to trade Daunte FIRST. And they were trying to do it so that he didn't find out.

I had hoped that that organization was going to turn around after the worst owner in the NFL sold the team... but they seem to be just as dysfunctional.

I am loving how Seattle is biting them in the butt for what they did with peterson's contract. Now the Vikings are getting screwed by the Hawks on THEIR restricted free agent contract.

Funny stuff.

Their idiocy is our gain.
