I am currently locking in my homer bets for the season. I noticed some interesting Fins bets

season win o/u 9 I went over (small bet, I was looking for 8.5)
League Sack leader I took Wake at +1500. They had them as follows: Watt, Houston, Quinn, Miller, Dumervill Wake
Lamar is+5000 to lead the league in rushing. Why not 10 bucks 500
AFC Champion- The Fins come in 6th at +1500. Teams ahead of Miami in Order: Indy, Den, NE, Bal, Pitt--- Why not drop 5 bucks here
Offensive ROY Parker is +2500 Melvin Godon is the Favorite
DROY - No Fins in play on my site. Vegas likes Williams, Kendricks, Stephone Anthony, and Vic Beasley
AFC EAST- Miami is +300, NE -140
NFL MVP- No Fins listed. Rodgers, Luck, Ben, AP favorites. I placed a 2 dollar bet on Tebow at +10000 (pays 2k)
Next coach fired- Surprisingly to some Joe came in 4th here. The only guys ahead of him were Gruden, Petine, Whisenhunt
Will the Dolphins make the playoffs Yes +165 No -240
Tannehill is + 3500 for most passing yards, right in the middle (4 spots behind Brady)- Made a small bet huge odds
Miami I a 3 point favorite at the Redskins week . I made a larger bet here

Vegas is pretty optimistic about the season

I already put a bet on the Fins vs Redskins at -2.5, That should be easy money. It has since rose to -3

Earlier they were +350 to win the east and now that has dropped to +300. I got in at +350. Definitely some people betting on the Fins this year besides us.

I won a bet with myself on who would be the first to post in this thread :)

After all brother 71 bets on golf matches so football is a given :brewskis:

I'd take the over on season wins and the Redskins bet at + 3 ( taking the Fins) if I were a betting man.

I bet the over a few years back and it almost cost me my marriage and family. I would be careful!!!!!

I hear ya. There was a time I had relatively large bets on the Dolphins each week. Being a homer I always took them to win regardless of the spread. This was back in Shula days. Lost my shirt as the fins usually won but hardly ever covered the spread.
If you want to bet it's best not to bet on teams you are emotionally attracted to. JMO

$2 on Tebow? There goes your lunch money. You're just giving away money here man. I bet at Bovada very season. Homer has absolutely nothing to do with who I pick. That is a losing formula 100%. That being said, Fins ATS opening day at Washington is a solid pick.

Sometimes I do the opposite. Ill lay like 20 bucks on Miami to lose straight up, if they win Im happy, if they lose at least I got beer money for the following week.
I don't bet big at all.
I will say, I was very good betting the Dolphins the last 2 years. I think I was something like 8-1 ats 2 years ago. I only bet on them if I like it. But its all in fun, I like to just do a little parlay for cfb on Saturday and pick a game or 2 I like in NFL each Sunday.
It makes watching Tulsa and Western Kentucky inetersting on a Saturday

Fins Fan, sorry you didn't like the post. I find vegas lines pretty interesting, and I don't remember the last time our season wins was at 9 that is a good sign.

How does online betting work? Isn't it illegal outside of Nevada? I would like to get in on the redskins week one bet if its only at a 3 point spread. I see Miami taking it to the skins week one

Cheap entertainment is all it is. If I win that is a bonus.

I remember that. Didn't you put $2500 down and then were stressing out over it later in the season and they screwed you. I only bet money that I can afford to loose and make sure your better half is on board with the risk. I'm glad it all worked out for you.
