1) Oakland has started talks with Russell
2) Oakland has contacted Cleveland about trading down to 3 on the assumption Cleveland would want Russell
3) 8 teams talking to Detroit is a slight exaggeration, unless they've forgotten to report a contact. There are 7
4) Nobody wants to trade with Detroit until either Oakland signs their guy or Detroit is on the clock for fear someone would leapfrog them (makes sense)
5) The suitors are: Tampa, Atlanta, Washington, Miami, Houston, Carolina and Pittsburgh.
6) Atlanta has a firm offer of their 1st, 2 2nds, and a 1st next year for Detroit's 1 and 4 this year--supposing Calvin is there
7) Tampa has a firm offer of their 1st, 2 2nds and a 5th for Detroit's 1/4--supposing Calvin is there
8) Miami has a firm offer of a 1st, a 2nd (their late 2nd), a 3rd, and a first and 3rd next year--supposing Russell is there.
9) Washington is trying to move players of some sort along with their 1st
10) Pittsburgh is offering a 1st and a 2nd, and a 1st and 2nd next year--supposing Calvin is there
11) Houston...I don't know what they're offering, but they're eyeing Peterson
12) Don't know anything about Carolina. Couldn't scrounge anything up.
13) Detroit appears to have narrowed their guys down to 3--Adams, LeRon Landry, and Leon Hall
14) I have it on good authority that the NFL will NOT be putting an invisible fence around the Detroit War Room phone and attaching a collar to Millen to prevent him from rushing to the phone too quickly to make his pick this year. Sorry guys.

Guess the Fins aren't all that hot for Quinn after all. All I can say is THANK GOD! Keep the chokemeister away from my beloved Fins, we don't need another AJ Feeley. Price is too steep, though. Way too steep.

i would throw up in my mouth if that happened....wayyyy too much to give up...

Gawd damn that's a lot. Especially for a Culpepper-esque type player who everyone says doesn't particularly fit Cam's offense?

If we give that many picks away, we'd have a potential great QB, and 3 OL to protect him...

another message board reports this? it *must* be true!!11oneone

If true, that's the worst trade since "I'll give you my whole draft, for Ricky Williams" Mike Ditka!!

If Randy does that deal I'll drive down to Davive and plant my foot in Randy's backside, for simply being the dumbest man on the planet. That being said, it would never happen.

Too much. will never happen. We need to get a heap more picks for next yr as well and not make this draft a be all and end all.

Personally I like Stanton a whole lot better than either Quinn or Russel. Don't need to ruin Miami's draft for the next two years to get him, either.

I wouldn't put too much stock in a message board.
I really don't think Mueller would give up that much for any player in this draft. Miami hasn't shown any interest in Russell that I have read or heard anywhere.
We would be miserable again next year with no first round pick and no 3rd rounder. Shades of Wanny!

Where does this info come from? I don't believe a word of it.:loco:

I'm guessing that thread was moved to "SPAM" in that forum. What a load of crap. :shakeno:

It would be a bad trade for sure, but nobody is questioning the legitimacy of the source. It won't happen because the Raiders are going to take Russel, they're already in contract negotiations with him, not because you believe the anti-Saban is infallible.
