I'm not so sure that we're looking for a GM since I've heard nothing about searching for one from the Dolphins organization. But in any case, I found this blurb from PFT, about Pioli maybe getting looked at by the Giants. If that's the case, then it certainly means he's available and we should take a look as well.
I don't think we would be required to give the Patsies anything for him either, since we would be offering him complete power as a GM, something he doesn't have with New England. Also, did this blurb say someone interviewed Casserly? Or did Casserly interview someone? I'm confused. In any case Casserly would be a hell of a GM as well.

Early talk in league circles is that former Titans G.M. Floyd Reese, who resigned on Friday, plans to target the G.M. position with the Giants.
Reese isn't regarded as a serious candidate. Most league observers believe that the job will go to an in-house guy like Jerry Reese. If the Giants go outside the building, Scott Pioli of the Patriots is a strong possibility. There is one school of thought (which we find persuasive and compelling) that the interview to Charley Casserly was more than a courtesy, and that his ability to handle the media could win the title for him -- even if he doesn't get the juice that goes with it.
