Found this on Fox and fount it interesting , sorry if it was posted before.

Cris Collinsworth thinks Nick Saban leaving the Dolphins is a good thing. His remarks on HBO's Inside The NFL this week: "I think it is the best thing to ever happen to the Miami Dolphins, to tell you the truth. I've watched their games; they're boring. Fans down there are used to seeing Dan Marino and company throw it all over the yard. At some point this is an entertainment business, and the Miami Dolphins have not been entertaining for some time now. "I personally would hire Mike Martz. Go down there, even if you lose you are going to be slinging it around a little bit, putting some points on the board. Because right now nobody is going to the Dolphins games and nobody wants to watch this football team."

Actually I do not like Collinsworth. I like him as an strategic analyst (in the few games I have seen him), because I have the feeling he understands the game and brings me the game closer in contrast to other analysts who just want to chat and tell their latest rumors, feelings or gossip. However he seems not to like the Fins as a team, therefore I was pretty reluctant when I read his statement. In the end I thought he might have hit bully eye here. Although I am a bif defense-fan and hate games with a score like 41:38, he is somehow right. Not only with Saban but also in the Wanny years the games got (mostly) a bit boring. The gameplan got predictable and the key players were added on an already solid defense and not on offense (besides Ronnie Brown and the injured Daunte)

I think Cris Collinsworths shows how much of an amateur he is or how little he knows about the Dolphins..Mike Martz is not the answer.

With Gus Frerotte, the offensive was more explosive....he was comfortable throwing the deep ball, as opposed to harrington.
Some games are boring....Some teams are very good on defense as are the dolphins.... lots of 3 downs & punt. But Marino is not gonna be making a comeback anytime soon.... Teams who run the ball well and consistently with a stout defense win in today's NFL ... everybody know's the Colts aren't goin to the superbowl, my 2 yr old nephew could run on that defense

I'm not a Martz fan, but he was in a Superbowl and won a lot more then we have over the past 10 years.

He wants us to SCORE AND SO DO I!! We have been a defensive team for so ling and have nothing but 4 coaches to show for it.

Martz who flip that coin. While I don't agree with hiring him, the point is Miami needs to be exciting again, and scoring points does that regardless of the outcome.

I think Collinworth is right (and I think Arino agreed with him for the most part). The majority of games have been boring offensively speaking. We need a coach who isnt afraid to go deep and throw throw throw. Keep capers and let him run the defense...Get a good offensive minded coach in here and I think we would be alot better than we are now

Mularkey may not be to bad...What I would recommend is keeping Mularkey while using Mularkey's playbook, not Linehan's. Regardless I think if we hire a new guy like Whisenhut he might bring his own offensive coaches and philosophy..I like Mike maybe he can stay as an advisor or a laundry attendant.

While Collinsworth has a legit point, I think the fans would rather have a boring SuperBowl team than an exciting .500 team. We need someone who can give us the "W" regardless of how it gets done. I don't think Martz is the answer. I know a LOT of people couldn't wait for him to be gone at HC in St. Louis. He might make a decent OC, so long as the HC had control over him, but as a HC, he made a LOT of very questionable decisions that got him run out of St.Louis. I think we can get more exciting and win without getting crazy (which is what Martz brings).

Huh? I hope we arent talking about the same Mularky here.. Thats all we need to se is more halfback options from the 2 for a 2 point conversion...If we are going to go inhouse for a headcoach make is Garrett. Give him his shot. He has been good for this team from a coaching standpoint and the players like him

What a moron!!

I could care less if they won every game 3-0, AS LONG AS THEY WON!!!!!!!!!

I have lost the miniscule respect I actually had for him to begin with.

Well i like the Dolphins, I go to Miami to catch a few games, and I give a damn about the team.

His arguement that nobody cares is already null and void
