Here are mine what are yours??

1}In previous posts i've stated that a major problem with daunte is his dropback, its slow and lethargic, rich gannon called it when he said there is no sense of urgency in his dropback.

2]I like watching quarterback mechanics and form, something i have noticed is even though daunte is 6'5 he plays at 6 foot, he has a very low release point in his delivery almost a glitch, his trajectory on his passes go from low point to high point and back down to low point before they reach the receiver, also he stands very very flat footed in the pocket which makes his release even lower,,,{think about marino on his toes before the release.

Hopefully jason garrett and the coaches can correct some of this.

3]I found the postgame lockeroom interviews very interesting especially saban addressing the team after the game,,saban was pumped and told them they busted their butts and literally praised them and told them and i quote they should be proud of themselves,,,he would no better than me on what type of physcological approach to take with them in that moment, i was a little shocked i think some coaches might of went a different direction but i think and hope saban knows best.

{Zach's interview was interesting as well,he was asked by a reporter about the upcoming games and he kind of slipped with his words and then covered them up,my interpretation was that he was saying the team can't wait to go on the road for the next three weeks to get away from here,he covered it by saying the team plays better on the road for some reason.

Even though i did'nt like hearing him saying that i think itS going to be the best thing for our team,,,think how we played in that steeler game. this team needs some major male bonding.

Iam totally torn on the whole Daunte Joey scenario, what i saw in joey in preseason was a new man with a new sense of confidence and a quarterback that plays fast gets back in his setup very quickly and throws the ball with velocity and without fear,,,,,a downhill trajectory on his ball flight,,you know what i mean??

Anyway I hope daunte gets it together,he's worked hard and deserves success,
I believe were gonna go on a nice winning streak,, thanks for readin GO PHINS

nice observations... has Cpep's dropback looked any different in the past ?? If so, perhaps his knee has something to do with it ? I dunno but he looked mobile enough on that run. What Zach said isn't suprising to me... he always speaks his mind and i bet he's as embarrassed by the fans as he is by the teams performance. Joey did look like someone lit a fire under his arse in the preseason.. but he was playing with no pressure ( he's the backup ) I still think Joey Harrington won't see the field unless Daunte gets hurt.... I don't see us being eliminated from the playoffs anytime soon so that's his only oppurtunity IMO.

i tend to agree with zach, against pittsburgh, in pittsburgh we stood toe to toe with the superbowl champs, and could have and should have won the game

i think daunte and the phins getting away from miami will help them alot, also having a win under their belt will help also

The OL still stinks, and the defense can't get to the QB.

Jason garrett is the QB coach! That's all he does! If hasn't figured out CPEP'S dropback is unacceptable after the 3rd game of the season???

yea DC doesnt drop back fast enough prob b/c of his injury im assuming and when DC throws it it feels like he is lacking confidence in his arm as oppose to Joey when he threw the ball during preseason. it was as if Joey was having fun and knew waht we was doing wiht his arm as oppose to DC being scared to let it fly.

I am no QB expert, but I do think he is very flat footed in the pocket as compared to other QB's. I also see he doesn't seem to plant his back foot to throw it, it all seems flat footed. When he does plant his foot and seems to have a little hop in his step he can throw some great passes, which he had sometimes in the Pitt game. If not, the passes seem to just flutter up there with not much behind them. What do I know?? I just hope he gets back on track and continues to progress and leads us to the playoffs this year.

I heard them call out cpep specifically on NBC's coverage yesterday. They were saying that the sacks are more because of him not being comfortable with his receivers and him not going through his reads fast enough. I agree it looked like Joey was faster in going through the reads in the pre-season. I don't think we pull the plug on cpep yet but I have noticed the same things you are talking about.

correct on both points, when we blitz i swear i just LAUGH OUT LOUD,especially when zach comes in strait ahead with his head down and strait into the offensive linemans chest,i seriously do laugh sometimes.

Ronnie was very impressive to me yesterday imagine the possibilities with acouple of studs up front,I finally see a number two pick out there, thats a scary man.

O ne of the members has a profile picture of daunte in his signature,i forget who,but he's standing there in the middle of the pocket completely flat footed with the ball below his shoulder on his release, right now he plays like a 6 foot quarterback

I would bet that there is a half second difference between daunte and joey getting into their drop and release

Rich Gannon broke down Culpepper's playing and said he was slow getting away from center, his hobbling in his handoffs, his throwing with his arm and not stepping into his throws. He is not moving sideways very well and his one run for the touchdown was a straight forward movement. He was not reading the defense and recognizing blitzes. I don't think he is ready for this season, another year is my guess.

I don't know how much I agree with the "getting slow away from Center" and "not stepping into his throws".

He has been off on some throws he makes so stepping in could definitely be a problem but it's not the most glaring.

Having some physical problems we all expected with him coming off a huge knee injury. The problem I wasn't expecting are the mental ones.

The biggest problem I see is his reading the defense and seeing the field. The guy clearly is not seeing WR's that are open. We had wide open guys MANY times again this week, while he had time and he just couldn't find them.

It is Troubling...

What I don't understand and maybe I'm missing something, but if the CBS announcers see it, why can't the coaching staff. Are they hoping that DC can just play himself through this? Are they banking on that he will be healthier in the 2nd half? I know at the half I was thinking "this team needs a jolt, so they better get Harrington in". I thought that was a gambe by Saban leaving DC in, IMO, the season was on the line in week 3 at the half. In the AFC, if you want to make the playoffs, don't go 0-3. I know it's been done in the past, but this division is too damn tuff right now to be throwing games early in the season. Hopefully a win @ Houston, making 2-2 will get this team going. I know @ NYJ and @ New England won't be easy. I'm afraid nothing will be easy for this team the remainder of the season.
