"If there's any obvious comparison to be made for Henne's early career path, it's Drew Brees. I know. Hear me out on this one. They're both undersized2 second-round picks from the Big Ten....Best-case scenario: Henne actually is Drew Brees reincarnated, the defense takes over, and they ride a downswing from the Patriots and Jets into the AFC East title."

Interesting read, especially from an ESPN outlet.

Very good read. Seems strangely impartial considering it is new England Super Patriots Network.....

Good read with valid reasons why we will be better this year unlike many who think we will struggle to win 5 games.

its a good article, but i think they underestimate Drew Bree's his Accuracy is top 2 or 3 in the NFL,

Well "they" might be right. Maybe we only win 5 games. I personally think we only lose 6...but, that's why they lace them up.

BTW: Balls-on Signature. Did you make the gif?

I cannot be a fan saying we will have a losing season but that's just me.

No the sig was made by Vaark.

its a good article, but i think they underestimate Drew Bree's his Accuracy is top 2 or 3 in the NFL,

Brees had a 55.6, a 60.8 and a 57.6 completion percentage over the first three years, respectively. hardly top 2 or 3 in the NFL. his accuracy improved a great deal after he got his release point up a bit, and of course, having a fire lit under him from the Philip Rivers selection.

I don't see how Henne is undersized. 6'3", 230 lbs is about average QB size.

I can see the similarities when it comes to arm-strength and throwing mechanics... but Brees has way more accuracy (at least at this point in his career); however, Chad still has room to improve.

The other GLARING difference is decision making, but it's like comparing a's and o's. Chad (most quarterbacks) need flexibility and rhythm to gain confidence and strong decision-making skills... something that Henning and the W-Cat hindered over the past two years.

This is Chad's year to either make-it or move aside. I think he'll do the former... but as for comparisons to Brees... let's wait a bit for that.

Every QB who ultimately fizzled out and did nothing in the NFL could be compared to Drew Brees early in his career, too.

Are they no longer haters? Its good to at least see a different opinion even if its a bit far fetched.

I don't think that Grantland is a good outlet for anything other than 1980's movie references and Bill Simmons noting how famous he is.
