Interesting QB development

Sure it does! Its Alex Smith his team won in spite of him , Front office stop screwing around! Philbin wants Flynn sign his a$$, Im not 1 to get to high or low but this is rediculous I figured I'd wake up with a new QB but now see that theres another visitor comming. This is sad I may have to stop with sportstalk & msg boards for awhile.

When I woke up and saw Smith headed to Miami to visit with the Fins I almost puked.

IMO Smith is going to be too expensive regardless for the Fins. I think that if he is coming to visit with the team (he might just be looking for a new agent?) there is nothing wrong with that as long as we dont sign him!

This will definitely put heat on Flynn, no doubt about that. I have a feeling even though he wants to be with Philbin, Seattle probably offered him a better contract. Idk if it was stated specifically what each team offered but it seems like he wants to be a Dolphin from what his dad said.

I don't think the fact that he is getting "low-balled" is a bad thing here. I want Flynn as of now, with how things stand as far as options go, but in reality he can't ask for too much. The team is smart to not pay too much. Some people see this as disrespect, and that if Philbin really wanted him, we should do whatever it takes. For all we know Philbin could be dead set on it and the team is trying to be SMART by protecting themselves with a team-friendly contract and not one that screws them if he doesn't pan out.

To sum it all up, the article about his dad where he states "Matt could run this offense in his sleep" is music to my ears. Yeah, it's his pops talking up his kid and whatnot, but he probably isn't far off. ISN"T THIS WHAT THIS TEAM AND FANBASE HAS BEEN LOOKING FOR? Flynn can come in here and start leading this team day 1 getting acclimated with his new teammates and not having a ton of playbook to study. ADD to the fact that he has actually applied said playbook on gameday and did a bit more then just execute.

I will be patient that this will work out for the best. It would be nice to have him sign with us then Seattle takes Smith, Manning goes to Arizona, and San Fran will be left with their pants down around their ankles.
