I am usually not one to go crazy over computer rankings but I find that Jeff Sagarin's ratings for both college and pro football are very accurate and useful. Well take a look at where we stand now in those rankings. LINK
In the "ELO-Chess" style rankings, only winning and losing matters, the margin of victory has zero significance. In that system we are ranked 7th.
In the "Pure Points" style, margin of victory is factored in and in that system we are ranked 14th
The main ranking they use is a hybrid of those two, in which we are ranked 10th.
Also both rankings take into consideration strength of schedule, and currently it says we have played the 4th toughest schedule in the league.
Of course more importantly is that we look like a good team and one that is playing well. I just thought I'd bring to attention these rankings which maybe some people haven't seen before.
