Interesting Sage tidbits.....

I didn't see any instances of public comments from any of their receivers.

good write-up

i dont understand why hes on the roster if hes never gonna get above the 3 spot. if they really dont think hes got what it takes, then dump him and get another project for 3rd string

on the other hand, if they feel like he's got potential, then give him a shot. he has to be frustrated, cause i am and im just a fan

btw, he mentioned spurrier liked him. is this a false memory, or did we turn down a trade for him from the redskins?

i think its confidence-inspiring that no recent coaches or coordinators had anything bad to say about him. the answers were "politics" or "i don't know".

this means he has *not* shown anything that should keep him from starting.

I actually think we got him from the Redskins for like a 5th round pick.

that was obviously pre-Spielman, then.

If Spielman had been here, it would have been a 1st rounder.

ahh..i see. the mentioning of spurrier threw me off a bit

also, the article mentions how sage could have been a victim of politics before.

i can see that happening now with Gus. also feeley appears to be a giant waste of time.

last season, w/o AJ , we would have seen Sage play in some games.

then we wouldnt have wasted this preseason to see if AJ is worth a damn

well said

No Spurrier traded him because the Skins spent a 1st for Ramsey, singed Woeful, and had just signed Matthews. Rosenfels surprised and played the best out of all 4, but politics played him out there too.

He deserves a chance, he really does.

Rosenfels and Feeley came from the same draft class with Rosenfels getting better grades in all categories and even being drafted before Feeley. I have to agree, give the guy a chance. It most certainly can't be any worse than the QB play we've had recently.

The way coaches avoided him I was beginning to think that Sage had leprosy or some infectious disease for a time.

But it appears that his only apparent flaw is his lack of ambition. He doesnt seem to mind being 3rd string QB.I thought he would want to get out of Miami due to lack of opportunities (Politics or whatever) but he seemed perfectly content to accept a one year low paying contract to be 3rd string QB again in Miami.

His affability is probably scaring the coaches off.You want someone with confidence and fire at the QB position especially when the game is on the line.

Sure give him a shot see how he does if not, then we were wrong QB Competition will still be in the air this season though any of those 3 can start for right now YES even Feeley...

There were public comments by the receivers at last year's camp.
