What does everyone think about this hypothetical scenario...

I believe Detriot is looking to collect as many draft picks as possible. Having said that; let me throw this out there...

I'm not saying we do this...BUT; what would you think about trading up in the second round for Detriot's second round pick. We could get Duke Robinson (first round) and Brian Cushing (second round).

We trade or 2a, 2b, and 3rd round picks...for Detroit's 2nd, 3rd, and 4th.

The trade value is close Detroit (957) to Miami (955).

Then our draft can look like this...

1. OG Duke Robinson
2. OLB Brian Cushing
3. WR Juaquin Iglesiasor Antoine Caldwell or Eric Wood (plus remember, this pick is a very important pick because it is the first pick of the second day, so there will be a lot of trade offers we can entertain if we want to pick up another draft pick.
4a. ILB Scott McKillop
4b. SS Chip Vaughn or SS/FS Troy Nolan

The free agent moves will stay the same, you can find them in my "Finaticaleone's Mock Offseason" thread.

I just wanted to throw that out there, not much news to talk about right now, so what do you think?

If any pick trading will be going on it will be to get more picks, or to move down, not moving up. so no.

They don't aquire any more picks in that scenario.

I'd rather trade our first to them for their 2nd, 3rd and a 5th pick.

You're right; I quoted that wrong. It gives them the chance to move up (have 2 second round picks instead of one).

I'd rather trade our first to them for their 2nd, 3rd and a 5th pick.

I don't think they want to lose picks. They are in pretty bad shape, and they are going to need all the picks they can get.

They'd probably be better off trading down in the first with their #1 pick to collect more picks.

They traded picks to move up 5 spots to select Shawn Murphy in last year's draft.

As it stands right now, I think they might look to acquire more picks before the draft. Obviously the Beck rumors are going around, they might try and shop guys like Holliday, Roth, Satele (just possibilities in my opinion).

If, and that's a big IF, they're able to get another 2nd or 3rd rounder, I could see them moving up to secure selecting the guy they want.
