Comparing Henne to Phillip Rivers is a ****ing joke.

And I dont know whether you have noticed this, but since about 3 years ago, Brett Favre ****ing blows. He's like the worst QB in the league or close to it.

It says he's similar to Favre of 1993.

Imagine how wonderful his life must be. Getting on the internet every single day only to whine about how ****ty his "favorite" team is, oh and the best part is that all of his whining does absolutely nothing which makes his existence even more pointless.
 
Drew Brees, Eli Manning, and Kyle Orton also struggled during their first two years as a starter (going by passer rating).

Bad decision. Prepare yourself to be scolded by WVdolphan for mentioning Brees, Manning, and Orton in a thread about Henne. HOW DARE YOU!!!!
 
Do not EVER expect something good or nice to come out of WV's mouth (or fingers I suppose).

Anyways, I wouldn't compare Henne to any of those. I just hope he is halfway decent. Which is asking a lot at this point, and I'm a perpetual optimist.

These comparison's don't mean anything. You can just about do this for any player.

I think the point is that kicking Henne to the curb this early would be a bad idea because if history has taught us anything it's that coming to a conclusion this early is highly irrational.

So what have we hopefully learned? That many young QBs struggle, some will end up succeeding (Favre, Rivers), and some will fail (Carr, Couch), but if you don't give the young QBs a real chance to fail or succeed, you will never know what you actually have.

Like Falcons that lost out on Favre, or the Patriots that lost 2 time SB champion Jim Plunkett.
 
Could you point to the FO article, please?

A bit of explaining is required here, I think, for those not familiar with the similarity scores. For one thing, they're not based on rating (unless I'm mistaken), and they're attempts at finding patterns. The idea is to find ALL the players with a similar career to a player and see if the info tells you anything. In some cases it does, and it others it doesn't. If those are the ONLY 3 players that are similar to Henne, then it would be cause for optimism. But I'm pretty sure there were other similar players that didn't make it...
