Why do they care about the best winning percentage since 1963??? Oh, it's because prior to 1963, the Raiders were a combined 9-33!! Just another example of people creating these meaningless records and claiming that they mean something.....I'm glad that the Dolphins will (hopefully) rob them of theis faux record and leave them with NOTHING.

best winning percentage in NFL history - Miami Dolphins. That's the one that matters, all the other teams are just making up their own records to make themselves feel better.

Miami used to own that a few years ago. If you guys look at the history of Miami, Miami only has 5 or 6 teams that they have lost to more than they have won. And one of the teams that have a winning record against them is the Texans whom beat us the first week of the season 4 years ago. It's really cool knowing that Miami has a better winning % then 26 other teams in the league!!! GO MIAMI!!!

we do own the one that matters:

This 1963 record is a manufactured record that we have never owned......well at least not in the last 20 years at least. But it's such a B.S. record because they are eliminating the first 3 years of their existance, when they were horrible.

If Miami did what the Oakland press is doing, and only calculated our winning % since we were first good (1970), our winning percentages jumps up to .630 through 2004 (from .599)

highest winning % yet no championship in 32 long, long years!

^^^ Real Talk right there...

i cant believe yall is happy for that record :shakeno: ...

Its still great to win year in and year out though, we are still a successful franchise

Put it this way

Would you rather be the way the Bengals were every year and not make the playoffs, or be the way we were every year and not win a superbowl?

I'll take the 10 win season over the 4 win season every time, regardless of how the season ends

Records can be important. Can the Packers pls bench Favre?

LOL that is funny. that is the only reason why favre is playin, so he can break marinos record.

i am glad that we have a great winnin percentage, but i am tired of winnin enough games to get into the playoff and lose in the playoffs like we did for 5 years in the late 90's. We need to start winnin some Superbowls.

Our media guide always quoted the post-1970 winning percentage because of the following:
it was after Don Shula arrived
and, it was after the NFL/AFL merger (since the NFL/AFL merger, the Dolphins have the best...)

According to the official site, the Dolphins' record against the ENTIRE NFL has us having a losing record against exactly 1 TEAM....the Houston Texans, whom we are 0-1 against. I'm hopeful we'll rectify that little problem this Sunday.

The only team to come even close to us, recordswise, is the San Diego Chargers, whom we're like 15-13 against.

We friggin OWN the NFL when you get right down to it, at least historically speaking. It's high time we return to that attitude. :tantrum:

How can anyone think that best winning percentage by a professional football team is meaningless?

IT SIMPLY MEANS THE DOLPHINS ARE THE BEST PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL TEAM IN THE HISTORY OF THE GAME!!!!!!!!!!

Be proud, Be VERY proud.
