Did You Know? If the Dolphins win and the Raiders lose Sunday, Miami would move past Oakland for the best winning percentage in pro football since 1963.

ffphin said:Miami used to own that a few years ago. If you guys look at the history of Miami, Miami only has 5 or 6 teams that they have lost to more than they have won. And one of the teams that have a winning record against them is the Texans whom beat us the first week of the season 4 years ago. It's really cool knowing that Miami has a better winning % then 26 other teams in the league!!! GO MIAMI!!!

This 1963 record is a manufactured record that we have never owned......well at least not in the last 20 years at least. But it's such a B.S. record because they are eliminating the first 3 years of their existance, when they were horrible.
If Miami did what the Oakland press is doing, and only calculated our winning % since we were first good (1970), our winning percentages jumps up to .630 through 2004 (from .599)
burger13 said:Why do they care about the best winning percentage since 1963??? Oh, it's because prior to 1963, the Raiders were a combined 9-33!! Just another example of people creating these meaningless records and claiming that they mean something.....I'm glad that the Dolphins will (hopefully) rob them of theis faux record and leave them with NOTHING.
best winning percentage in NFL history - Miami Dolphins. That's the one that matters, all the other teams are just making up their own records to make themselves feel better.
