4 TD passes by a Dolphins QB hasn't happened since 1998...Marino's 2nd to last year.
I'm I the only one that doesn't quite get this perspective? If I have a strong running game ala R.Williams why do I need to throw 4+ TD's? If I have a dominate defense..Why do I need to throw 4+ TDs? If I'm winning by 4 TDs..Why do I need to leave my QB in the game to throw 4+ TDs?
I get the stat...but without the full context of the game I think it's plain ol silly.
amen. Even Ryan Fizpatrick and Matt Flynn have had SIX TD games. My, my have our QBs sucked for a very long time. That really points out how truly horrible the QB play has been since Marino retired. Since the rules change, even many below average QBs have thrown for 4 touchdowns a few times. These days, throwing four touchdowns in a game is not as big of a deal as it used to be.
