Interesting Tannehill/Marino fact

Yikes! 255 games is the equivalent of almost 16 seasons. That really does put it in perspective.

Thanks for posting!

Honestly, that hurts a little bit. I didn't realize it had been since Marino, or just been so long in general. We got so spoiled watching Marino (21 times).

4 TD passes by a Dolphins QB hasn't happened since 1998...Marino's 2nd to last year.

And that is why we have only qualified for the playoffs a couple of times since Marino retired.

Here's another interesting fact. Before all this internet stuff and social media, people were screaming to have Marino benched or replaced with Scott Mitchell. Goes to show there's morons every decade...........

That really points out how truly horrible the QB play has been since Marino retired. Since the rules change, even many below average QBs have thrown for 4 touchdowns a few times. These days, throwing four touchdowns in a game is not as big of a deal as it used to be.

Am I more happy for Tanne, or more in shock that it took 16 years for Miami to do this again!?

I'm I the only one that doesn't quite get this perspective? If I have a strong running game ala R.Williams why do I need to throw 4+ TD's? If I have a dominate defense..Why do I need to throw 4+ TDs? If I'm winning by 4 TDs..Why do I need to leave my QB in the game to throw 4+ TDs?

I get the stat...but without the full context of the game I think it's plain ol silly.

Nah. Outside of 2001-2002, our offense has just been bad. There's really no hidden silver lining there for Miami. We've just sucked for about 12 years.

Don't know just how bright that proverbial light at the end of the tunnel will turn out to be, but at least finally, there's a real light vs a mirage.... and the tunnel 's end is in sight. I'm playing it safe and bringing my Raybans.

I consider this Tannehill's second 4TD performance this season. This game may have been his first passing 4TD performance but he had 3 Passing TDs and 1 Rushing TD against Denver...

Anyone know how many games Tannehill brought us back from a deficit to either tie or win the game for the team?

amen. Even Ryan Fizpatrick and Matt Flynn have had SIX TD games. My, my have our QBs sucked for a very long time.
