He has a huge decision to make, I really don't get the vitriol over him taking his time to consider his options. Even if he is playing a leverage game, it's a business first and foremost. Hell, I wish I was in a position to play a leverage game between two employers.
 
I mean Im not offended but so what there still is preperation for next year why wait? thats why we have losing records each year

I believe there is a draft to scout though
 
IMO, it's natural and inevitable blowback resentment that a mediocre coach can call all the shots merely because more desirable experienced HCs like Cowher, Chuckie and Coughlin are not available. :idk:
 
People arent upset he is taking his time, they are upset because nobody knows what is going on or where we stand.

I also remember last year when the coaching pursuit was done publicly, and everyone was upset.

Its best if the Miami side just keeps its mouth shut until something is finalized imo. Once a deal is finalized, everyone will forget about this.

I'd have a very low opinion of our scouting department if they only scouted talent for certain kinds of schemes instead of scouting all of the promising players that are going to be available.

It is WAY early in the scouting process. We still have all the Senior Bowls, Combine, Workouts, etc...,they are scouting players solely based on talent, not scheme. IMO.
 
its getting ridiculous now though, i mean either the guy is trying to really milk a team for all that they have - or he really is not sold on either situation.

its one thing to take a few days - but this is just odd now, esp for a guy who is pretty average maybe a little above. we've done interviews but now we are just sitting around, im sure some of the other candidates would like to get in here asap and start assembling a staff.

also - that is part of what we could be doing now even though there are no players around. there is a lot to be done regardless. hes gotta give some indication so we can move on or negotiate, this is just getting silly now. how people dont think so i dont know. some ppl are just as enamored as ross is i suppose.

When I was perused by my competition, I milked them for as much as I could. I took that number to the owner of the company I work for and he matched it. I would be and have done the same, SUPPLY AND DEMAND.

I am a life long Phins (longer than most of you have been alive or care to admit to, let me say this "I WAS THERE"), I want him to decide and I need him to decide, not because I am enamored with him. I want our Phins to succeed, I want to take my kids to the game and have the stadium FULL of PHINS fans and not every other team fans, I want to be at a stadium where ALL are cheering and not sitting on there a**, because we are getting our A** kicked.

I think Fisher is a good coach and he will bring in the BEST coaching staff, better than any other candidate out there today. That's the most important factor, the HC is just part of the solution. He will bring some high end Assistants.
 
My only real concern with Fisher dragging this out, is if our other main picks for HC after Fisher end up signing on with some other team before Fisher makes up his mind. Then if Fisher goes to the Rams, not only did we lose option A, but option B and C as well, and then we could really be put in a bind.
