It is WAY early in the scouting process. We still have all the Senior Bowls, Combine, Workouts, etc...,they are scouting players solely based on talent, not scheme. IMO.

Declaration Deadline is Sunday.
East West Game is the 21st
Senior Bowl is 28th

You have to think by those two games Scouts are starting to look at players for specific schemes.

I'd have a very low opinion of our scouting department if they only scouted talent for certain kinds of schemes instead of scouting all of the promising players that are going to be available.

I understand that as well. But lets say Ummm someone like

Courtney Upshaw - Obviously if you are a 3-4 team you would grade him higher than a 4-3 team

Now in terms of Lets say you are looking at 4-3 College Programs and scouting those players, would you not want to know if you are going to play a 3-4 so you can make sure said player can get into space or set the edge with his hand out of the dirt.

Schemes no matter what will affect how a team looks at a player.

Example.
RGIII will NOT Go NO one. Luck will.

Now many experts will say RGIII will have a better career but Luck is ready now to run the type of Offense Indy Runs, and be that field general that Payton is.

Schemes matter in scouting.

Now with all that being said.... IF I was a fin fan I would really not be getting upset until the end of next week if you do not have a coach...

Reason is HOW do you really know that the Fins are NOT playing the leverage game instead of Fisher. The way this is playing out, I almost would think that they (Rams and Fins) are using Fisher as leverage for a coach that is still in the playoffs.

Right, but we're talking about compiling scouting reports, not actually picking the guys. I don't think that Fisher taking a week to decide is going to hurt our ability to scout players. I just don't.

People arent upset he is taking his time, they are upset because nobody knows what is going on or where we stand.

I also remember last year when the coaching pursuit was done publicly, and everyone was upset.

Its best if the Miami side just keeps its mouth shut until something is finalized imo. Once a deal is finalized, everyone will forget about this.

Yet people are blaming Fisher for the entire lack of knowing where 'we' stand
