So I was bored this morning and decided to visit other team's forum. Well, I found an interesting tidbit. Redskins fans want to trade their first round pick for two 2nd round so they can get more draft picks. Now I ask you guys.. what do you think of this trade idea?

Our #45 pick and #57 pick

for

Washington's #13 pick

we could get Vontae Davis, Malcolm Jenkins, or Reagan Mauluga with the 13th pick.

Discuss.

The last time I checked, we don't make any trades with Redskins fans.

You're right. We also don't have the authority to make player personnel decisions nor fire a coach. So we might as well stop discussing about the draft and who should we sign because last time I checked, we're just fans. :rolleyes2:

PS: no need for sarcastic reply.

i'll pass on that idea...we need all the picks we have and anymore we can get to continue rebuilding and filling the holes we have...

I think Washington may be hesitant to do business with us anytime soon after we fleeced them in the Jason Taylor trade.

No way in hell we package our second rounders for a first, this team is still rebuilding.

i agree. teams usually trade up for that cant miss qb prospect or a top tier tackle. teams with multiple holes to fill dont trade up for linebackers

Ok i will work with this....first of all i agree we need picks and quality talent which this Fo seems to be pretty good at.

BUT

For sake of argument i could see this as plausible if FA goes amazing...meaning

Gross, Brown, Canty, Asomuga, and Suggs.....that way with your suggestion of getting ReyRey out of USC then our next pick get like Moore out of Mizzou then our NT of the future such as Brace in the third so our personnel on D would look like

DE: Canty, Ferguson, Langford, Merling, Starks, Brace
LB: Porter, Chrowder, ReyRey, Suggs, Ayeodle, Roth, Anderson
CB: Asomuga, Allen, Goodman, Jones, Allen
S: Hill, Moore, Bell, Culver

So that personnel on D could be NASTY....but again i do not think that trade could be possible unless we have the most unreal free agency period ever

lol,i'm pretty sure Dan Snyder has ZERO interest in doing business with us at this time...

It's a interesting idea, having the chance to draft Rey.M ILB and then have a shot at BJ.Raji NT, C.Sintim OLB or A.Mack C is very tempting but seems to be the opposite of what the FO wants to do. Aquiring picks or trading mid to low rounders for starters seems to be the best way to handle things.

Could you imagine drafting Rey.M and later on getting J.Brinkley as our starting ILB's!

Trying to work with this thought. The only prospect I personally would trade up for would be Malcolm Jenkins.

I would only consider to try and trade up if we were only going to lose one of our 2nd rounders, which wouldn't be possible this day and age, unless we somehow acquire more picks to use in a trade. Just off the top of my head, I can't really think of anyone aside from Samson Satele, that is semi-expendable in our system, yet talented enough to garner a potential 2nd round pick.

But who's to say what the FO will do, after all, they were wheeling and dealing in last year's draft, smoking Dallas with a 4th for Fasano and Ayodele, but also burning picks to move up a few spots to take Shawn Murphy.

I was actually thinking that we could possibly pick up some picks from teams that wanted to jump into the end of round 1. There were 34 trades on draft weekend last year.

I would have to give it some consideration if we did it to draft A.Curry he would be great at either ILB or OLB for us.

What if a top 10 talent were to fall and the Skins called? Like Jenkins or Crabtree?

And can everyone please stop thinking Brace will last til our 3rd round pick? Other teams need DT too!

I do not see the skins trading with Miami. Hell they may release some players at WR & DB that might find a new home in Miami. Not to mention the second round pick we got for JT...he might be a cap cut and come home as a pass rusher.

Just cannot see Dan doing business with Miami...just makes him look even worse.

But watch their roster for cuts. Some good players will be gone. They have a ton of DB's and WR's. Someone has to go....
