You can really tell from the press conf that the organization didn't agree with Little Nicky and his dictatorial ways; especially with regards to the media. It was refreshing to see how Cam put an emphasis on the role the media is going to play. That is important because after all, without us the fans, pro sports would cease to exist. Ultimately the media serves us the fans; if you think about it now, it's as if Saban didn't give a @$I* about us the fans with his shutdown of the media. That was only a detriment to the fanbase. Now the new organization values the media and the role they serve in servicing the fanbase.

The Nicktator was trying to be like Belichick in restricting media access to players and coaches. Unfortunately he rubbed a lot of people the wrong way.

I don't think for a minute that Mr. H cares how the coach treated the media. He's not much of a media hound himself anyway. Nick's style is obviously going to be different than Cam's style, but to say that the 'organization' didn't agree with it isn't right. I agree that Nick went a little overboard with the way he treated the media like they were lepers or something, but don't think that Wayne cared one way or the other....that is his style...to let the coach/FO run the show...

agreed... listening to Cam talk, and just watching the way he handled himself, I'm already a huge fan of the guy... he is so much more personable than Saban and seems to have a much warmer and caring personality...obviously this is football, and the team doesnt need a mother:lol: , but Cameron seems really genuine and that he cares about the team, the fans, the players, and the organization as whole... he may not have the resume of a Nick Saban, Jimmy Johnson, or Wanstache, but the guy has my vote all the way... take us to the promised land Cam:D

It's just two differnet personalities. If Saban was still here, people would be praising his toughness with the media. Saban wanted to give the impression that he was tough minded and business only. When his losing record threw off that balance, it started to give him a negative light.

If you notice, winning coaches that are tough with the media can get away with it. When you're losing, and you're tough with the media, you're perceived as a jerk.

I wonder if Cam has a losing record (please no) if people would start bashing his niceguy attitude with the media. Bottom line: Just win games.

where can i watch the PC? link plz.

Yeah, the south fla media will love him, just like they did Wanny - and, like Wanny, run him out of town as they indulge in their excess.
