Many people have stated that Jenkins a top five DT in the league...Well his playing time was very limited yesterday and Samson was beaten by Jenkins every time he was in the game and multiple times by other players. This was not only in passing games for sacks but in the run game defenders were able to shed him easily and make tackles.

The interior of the line had issues all day, on a good note our tackles played rather well minus the penalty and miscommunication between Long and Smiley.

Everyone seems excited about Fasano's performance yesterday and for good reason too. He repeatedly found the soft spot in the defense and picked up good yardage. My only complaint is horrible blocking as he was beaten several times yesterday, badly!

Another person who was routinely abused is Jason Ferguson. As the NT in our 3-4 he never commanded a double team and was unable move horizontally stuffing any holes. Very bad performance. To make matters worse our ILB got caught up in traffic and rarely stuffed any holes something we became used to Zach Thomas doing on almost every play.

On obvious passing downs we were able to get decent pressure with four down d-linemen consisting of Anderson, Starks, Merling and Porter which is something we do not do last year. Wish we could have seen more blitz packages in 3 and long thou.

Offense play calling (17 rush attempts), bad calls, stupid mistakes and special team miscues were all a very big part of the reason we lost.

Ronnie looked good yesterday, he should have started and been given the ball early and often!

Thoughts?

Agree with some of what you say. I think Satele did a better job then people are giving credit for and I think Ferguson had a pretty good game. He was able to collapse the pocket a couple of times. Were a very young team, but were espicially young on both lines, so its going to take time for both units to come together. As fans, we need to be patient.

Fergie collapsed the pocket on passing downs but i did not see him make too many plays in the run game. The performance I thought he would have Kris Jenkins had on the other side of the ball and vice versa as he was able to stuff the run but wasn't existent in the passing game.

ay bra ur actin like it was all kris jenkis... they were stackin their whole d on the line.. our receivers are unproven and not many teams are gon respect our passin game until they can prove otherwise
