What is that single given by Daunte/Joey during play- the one where they interlock their fingers?

Just means to huddle up...instead of hurry up offense.

Are you talking about the "diamond" DC makes with his thumbs and index fingers?

No. When he interlocks his fingers...not diamond. Maybe you have not noticed. Anyway, I have my answer: Huddle.

See there ask and you shall recieve an answer. You have to love this site

Oh this is the best site on the Web. What you talk'n 'bout. :D

yeah, i noticed dante doing it during the game, then again when he was on the sideline. If it means huddle up, then that is a good sign that dante is very involved and a true leader, even when not the one leading on the field.

If it's the same signal I think it is...it does not mean to huddle up. If you have noticed, they do not huddle up after he does this. He is either calling a play or changing it. The receivers have a predetermined pass route based on this.

I thought the interlocking fingers meant time to pray.

I do remember Joey doing the hand sign as he walked up to the line. Huddle??

So, then, what does the hand sign mean?
OK...one of the times they did huddle up. Culpepper was signalling to the sideline for formation and personnel. It ended up being a short pass to Welker where he got whacked by a LB.

The interlocking fingers can mean several things. If he does it before they lineup for the play, he is signalling to the sideline for personnel. If he does it after they break the huddle he is calling a play. It varies depending on the formation. IF it meant one thing, it would be too easy for the defense to figure out. Which wouldn't be good. :goof:

Yeah, I really like how Daunte is so involved even from the sidelines! I saw at one point, he was helping Joey get the guys together for a huddle, instead of hitting the water cooler and chillin' with the other starters on the sidelines. Team Player all the way, who you can tell LOVES THE GAME!! GO Daunte!!
