That is th link, it is a four page interview, you may have to sign up/log into the New York Times to read it but it is too long to cut and paste here and besides the NYTimes is serving cease and desist letters on those who do that - everyone should be able to log in the NYTimes anyway since it is like a national paper

the videotaping goes back a long time - interesting read

The thing that makes me sick is...seemingly if this were any team besides the Patriots (and maybe Cowboys) a MUCH bigger deal would be made of this. They are going to get off light again, and somehow Bellichick will be praised for it.

Yeah right! If this was the Cleveland Browns or the...Miami Dolphins nobody would care. The reason this story is so big is BECAUSE it's the New England Patriots.

Quite the opposite. In fact, outside of the Mass area of the country there has been skepticism about the legitimacy of some of the SB wins. You can argue it any way you want, but that is the perception and you Pats fans have to live with it.
You know the old saying, "where there's smoke, there is fire". Usually when someone gets caught with a rule infraction, it's usually just the tip of the iceberg. I suspect the Pats have been gotten away with much more.

Youre kidding right? Bill Bellichick is deified by everyone including Goodell. The NFL doesnt want their most preeminate franchise to be dragged through the dirt and their biggest and most marketable star's name tarnished because of this. They would throw any Cleveland Brown or Miami Dolphin straight under the bus and "Make Examples" of us. Bill will get out of this clean and you will hear..."well he still is a great coach".

You mean like Pacman, Chris Henry, Tank, and Ricky whom didn't tarnish the game nowhere near the level of spygate? Funny how He came down harder on them for lying yet said Billicheat and the Pats was punished enough. Lets hope congress does take action because I am tired of the double standards Goddell is using.

That's true. He has punished individual players, who have no effect on the integrity of the game, far worse than he did BB.
BB should have been suspended and forced to apply for reinstatement just like some of the aforementioned players were forced to do.

you make me want to punch babies in the face.

So you actually believe if this was the Arizona Cardinals it would be as big of a story?
I think we might be misunderstanding each other. True, since it is the Pats it is a big story, might not be as big if it were the Cards Fins etc. But, i also think the penalty would be MUCH stiffer if it werent the Pats. They are the golden boys, the chosen ones, gods gift to everything football. thats what I meant

no, you are right. but for the wrong reasons. if the cardinals cheated, and still sucked, then we would just be laughing at them. but you guys were like the post 9/11 hurray for america media darlings that were seemingly impossible to beat. that makes a huge difference.

something needs to be done to prevent you guys from doing it again. because nothing has yet. you cheated and won, for years. not the same.

Man I am enjoying every minute of this. Seeing the Pat's franchise slowly burn to the ground is sweet ecstasy!!!!:D
