Ireland believes Ryan Tannehill's talent level compares favorably with Luck and RGIII

Nah, I'm more like this:

I hate this for Tannehill.

Ireland's out of control ego overloading his mouth again in order to justify his pick. Just say you got the quarterback you wanted and leave it at that.

He's a long ways from being Andrew Luck, and they know it.

Merge this thread with the one he said Chad Henne was in the same breath as Matt Ryan.

I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt since Sherman is onboard. They better be right though. Henning said the same thing comparing Chad Henne to Matt Ryan.

No, I would think that Belichick had lost his marbles.

Look, Tannehil was a reach at 8. I had hoped we would trade down a few spots and still pick him while picking up a extra pick but that did not happen and we needed to address the QB situation badly. We took him. It is done so get over it and try to show some support for the kid and dont write him off simply because Ireland drafted him (really this was a collective decision between HC, OC and GM, don't fool yourself). The kid has a great set of physical tools that rival the top picks that is not questionable but he needs fine tuning...

Huge difference in trusting Sherman over Henning though.

Wow...if Ireland thinks it so it must be. I put 100% trust in a GM that has had a role in bringing in Henne, White, Moore and Garrard. I can see the Tannehill statue right next to Marino's now.

Same level as Luck and RG3...

You're taking what Ireland said completely out of context. As for the quarterbacks you're blaming Ireland for:

How can Garrard or Moore be held against Ireland? Garrard was signed after Miami had already lost out on Flynn and Manning. He was signed as a backup. And say what you will about Moore, but he was signed to give Henne competition. Moore has performed well beyond expectations, at least Finheaven expectations (according to many posters here, he was the worst QB in the NFL). Also, blaming Ireland for Pat White is ridiculous. It is well documented that White was a Parcells pick.
