He's given more interviews this week than he has given the whole time he's been here.
Guess he knows his butt is on the line with this draft.

no - its b/c the dolphins are making an effort to be more accessible as they said they were going to do. he is making the rounds bc the draft is coming up period.

Never said woohaa but he DOES need a great draft and as GM his job depends on it in my humble opinion. i wish him well but if he screws this up he should be held accountable .
 
He's trying to pimp next week's draft party which no one is going to. That's the reason they're trotting him out.
 
^Also, season ticket sales are awful according to the rumors out there...

He is trying to get suckers to buy a bad product.
 
You bunch of youngesters is all I can say Ireland is the best we have had as far as drafting since the mid 80s Shule a the coach covered up a bunch of mistakes. Be very very very very careful what you ask for because I have seen it all as a Doihins van and I just hope we have drafted the right coach.

I was a youngster when my dad took me to the FIRST Dolphin game friend. I saw Joe Auers kickoff return in person.

You guys interpided this post as anti Ireland which was not my intent. I thought his comments to Joe were very good but had to state the ovious. The head coach was fired after a 6 and 10 season. Season ticket sales are in the tank. I personally beleive Jeff has to have a great draft which he may. His drafts have been just ok and that won't get it this year.

You are probably right but my post stand watch out what you ask for and we have had a whole bunch or that and outdie of maybe JJ is stinks to hight heven IMO Ross know more than most fans here who just want to blame some one. The reason Shula stuck is he could coach up the talent the rest of these coaches have not got it done. Everyone is looking for a scapegoat a easy way to live of cousre is they measuer thier performance in their everyday life the way the measure Ireland in terms of results IMO most fans would be fired on this site. As a fan you are welcome to your opnion but most are looking for perfection.
 
Ireland is synonymous with Houdini...good chance he escapes no matter what b/c it appears Ross is willing to let him build through the draft and that takes years to pan out or not pan out. Fours years into the job and he is getting a free pass to start all over from the beginning...absolutely incredible!

You are are a fan as far as Phins GMS but you have time to figure that out plus Ireland must figure that far out in terms of Qbs out too.

Good point about carefull what you wish for. So true.
The differance to me is that until resently the Head coach was the top guy. What other GM in our history was the main dude ? This GM picked the head coach not the other way around. That being said i hope he does well. If not the blame has got to go to him.
