I have this theory that you don't know if an OC\DC is really good until they've led an offense\Defense for at least 3 years. Why 3 years? Because I think that's about the time when you get enough game film on you for other coaches that ARE good to figure out your schemes.

In year one.... Your system is new, no one really knows what to expect from you with your new toys. In year 2-3 teams start to really break you down and know what you're trying to do.

Adam Gase has said a couple of things over the last couple of weeks that have me wondering if he's any good or in over his head.

1. They are playing zones to take away the TE....
2. Defenses are taking away the outside zone which Ajayi really likes"

Well YEA COACH!1

I'll give him a home game and come back to this thread. If Landry has 5 catches for 11 yards in the first quarter I'll revisit it earlier.

If he doesn't change his gameplan/playcalling does not remove starters not cutting it and insert some potential play makers now and then immediately then he is not.

The jury is very much out

He seems like a smart guy, but the fact of the matter is outside of the time he spent with Peyton Manning, his offenses haven't been GREAT. Now the talent hasn't been great either but coming into this year everyone was saying how good the skill positions are but up until now we haven't seen those skill position players used in an effective manner, Guys like Jakeem Grant, Drake and Damien Williams should be integrated in the offense along with the mainstays. Haven't seen much of Davante Parker or Kenny Stills. Landry is gonna Landry but that's not enough. Ajayi has found tough sleddings and most of his yards are coming after contact. Which tells me 2 things, 1. The oline is not opening big enough holes and 2. the Scheme isn't good enough at this point to create holes through the element of surprise or misdirection.

He Identified the flaws and got them corrected for the most part last year so I'm willing to be patient and see what adjustments he make. But it's not as simple as benching players for "Guys that want to do it right" because if those guys that "Want" to do it right "Can't" do it right, OR aren't good enough even when they do it right.... then we will continue to sputter on offense.

If I were his starting QB I would consider him the best HC I ever had. He seems to always blame somebody other than the QB for whatever goes wrong. Don't know if he believes that the QB has been blameless but that's what he tells us in every press conference. I thought he was a real pro Tanny guy but he seems to be a real "whoever my QB is" guy.

Good Coach but needs to hire a OC play caller from the both.

No. He's a very good HC. Sorry I can't forget what he and this coaching staff did last year. It's been 3 games so far. I believe last year after 5 games the Phins were 1-4.

Not impressed with the way he utilises our offensive playmakers and failing to add any wrinkles at all in our offensive game plan.

We start slow and make late adjustments

Failing on both sides of the ball early in games is concerning. In regards to the first drive in the Saints game isn't telling because aside from getting helped out by penalties we struggled.

I really like Gase but man he better get his **** together cause I want him to succeed.
