Miami has had more than it's fair share of injury problems over the last few years. We all know that it's part of the game, as is being worse without your top players.

The Dolphins have added injured players in the draft like Parker. Taylor and Jordan. We have signed injury prone players like Albert, Grimes, and Delmas. Add in others if ya like.

All in all, is it worth the risk to gamble on these players? Would it be better to look at healthier options who may not have the same talent but, will be on the field for 16 games?

Sometimes injuries happen or are unavoidable. Just because a guy like Parker has an injury in college doesn't make him injury prone.

But, Albert, Delmas, Cameron, Misi, Pouncey all have a pretty extensive injury history. Some of these guys' bodies just can't handle the wear and tear of the NFL. Delmas is an example.

ACL tears, while causing a player to miss extensive time, isn't seen as a career-threatening injury anymore. But multiple ACL or connective tissue injuries would cause concern for me.

Players with multiple years of injuries would be off the books for me. Regardless of their level of play before their injuries. Delmas is a perfect example of this

It worked for Arizona with honey badger, and 49ers with the guard they picked two years ago, also worked for the Ravens with their offensive tackle. But with Miami nothing ever works.

It's a risk, but one you have to take sometimes. Gurley and Parker are good recent examples of that risk paying off in the draft.

It can be worth the risk. Initially, the Dolphins got Grimes for a very good contract because he was coming off an injury. That worked out for them. Others didn't. Albert concerns me because Miami paid a lot and he misses a lot of time.

So the answer is it depends on the individual case. I'd rather avoid the injury-prone guys altogether, but sometimes it can pan out as well.

It's timing. A player can go through his entire college career and never get hurt and then tear an ACL his rookie year or he can tear that same ACL his junior year. Football players get hurt.

There is a difference between Grimes - a bad, one time injury - and Albert - injury after injury, missed games here, missed games there.

I never wanted Albert. Misi is that same type of player - he will always have an injury. Just their bodies, nothing we can do about it... well one thing we can do - not keep signing them.

It depends on when you take them...you don't do it in early rounds...you don't take chances there! Our team has been too stupid to realize that...
