That between Chambers, Booker, and Mcmicheal...the cap hit collectively is over 14 MILL!? I am sorry but this team is in trouble when you have 3 recievers making this kind of money and performing like second stringers...Want to get things right? well start right there. Terrible contracts for Guys who have "potential"!!!! Booker was the best we had this season and he is the lowest paid of the three! Front office ,take a bow!

I have always sort of been on the "fence" with Chambers.
After the 2005 Pro Bowl year, I was hoping that he had finally emerged.

But, I am beginning to think that he is "at best" a #2 and should be paid as such or released.

Mcmike is a TE and the highest paid one in the nfl, Bookers contract is up after the season is over so he will be gone and chambers will bonce back next year wuts your problem????

Said it once before....these guys are seriously overpaid especially Chambers.

I am sure he knows McMike is a TE, but I think the point is that he doesn't play like the highest paid TE in the NFL. He is not even in the top 5.

Booker is the most consistent and lowest paid. He is a good #2.

Chambers......??? who is he?

:rolleyes2

my problem(and the teams) is that mcmicheal stinks and is WAY overpaid. chambers has had ONE good year out of 5 seasons!Bounce back to what?!! And booker was the best reciever we had last year!!! That is A big problem ...I know you are only 16 so I understand that you are a little nieve, but wake up and smell the stench man!!

I wanted both of these guys gone in a bad way for a while now (McMike and Chambers). However, after reading about all the behind the scenes turmoil that Saban caused, I want to give these guys one more year. A teacher can positively or negatively affect the performance of a student, as a coach can his players. Either way, this organization has some leverage to re-do their contracts.

New Orleans is so successful this year because they replaced 2/3 of their ENTIRE roster. Drew Brees isn't this good. He's good because he's surrounded by great players who are utilized perfectly in their West Coast offense. The Titans are started winning again because they released their overpaid veterans and started injecting youth (e.g. Adam Jones, Vince Young). Upgrading their talent and restructuring/releasing their overpaid and underproductive players is more important to me than whoever they hire as head coach.

actually im pretty sure vernon davis is the highest paid TE

I really don't see the problem with the compensation.

The problem is with the performance of CC and RM. We'll see if that improves next year.

There are only two players that I would absolutely keep on our offense, and those are Ronnie Brown and Vernon Carey...
