Is anyone else upset that...

It's a little frustrating. With the Herald, you can sometimes read the article behind the ad up front to subscribe. What's more frustrating is the Dolphins website and their app accessed from your mobile phone. I've liked them on facebook already and that pop up to like them on fb won't go away. Their video's don't hardly load and the articles are just titles.
If you are talking about that "popup press" or whatever it's called, you can just clean your browser cache with "ccleaner", a very good free program. Just leave the settings as is, close your browser and run it to clean your browser crap. You can also clean registry if you wish...just say yes for saving a copy of it before cleaning it, but I've never had an issue anyway.

But really, those papers suck. Sometimes if people click to them by accident they get an overwhelming urge to smear their feces all over the screen. There is no software that can help with that. If it happens, simply clean your screen with soapy water and then with your favorite screen cleaner.

Not one bit, their coverage largely sucks. In this day and age, if you're paying for news, you are doing it very very wrong.

Simple solution...don't pay. There's tons of ways to get info on the Miami Dolphins without having to pay for it. There's a vast internet out there for all your Miami Dolphins news needs...including, as Spurz so eloquently pointed out, the one and the only Finheaven!

Just copy and paste the headline of article that is digital or subscription. Example in Sun Sentinal there is a story today with headline...... Dave Hyde: With opener next, one scout's view of Dolphins....... Just copy and paste those words in google, then click on the story again and you can read the story for free. I do it for lots of newspapers.

I really do miss sitting down on Sunday morning with a cup of coffee and the paper.

It all boils down to the print media is a dying industry...just as the internet killed the recorded music industry regarding CD sales.....it is killing the newspaper industry.

I don't need them really to keep up on the team...there is plenty of coverage elsewhere.

Finheaven is the only source of Dolphins info you should want/need.

It's kind of sad that there was only 1 other thumbs up, besides mine. Everyone should have given you a thumbs up on that. :-)

I'm a Capitalist so no it does not bother me. I rely on Fin Heaven for my Dolphin News and the Dolphins web page. And I prefer to donate to FH than pay The Herald.

guys are really down with PAYING for omar kelley? and armondo and saleguar? and most of the other front line sports media writers suck 99% of the times also.

i prefer the off the grid sites as they DO get real info sometimes because, they PAY people for info [something a sun or herald writers cant get caught doing] and they are easier for informants to get out of hot water with giving the old " its just ........, everyone knows their a tabloid, they made it up and guessed and got lucky, etc.... . so, its easy for these guys to take the money and spill soemthing they heard or know.

remember in MEN IN BLACK when tommy lee jones took will smith to the bodega and bought a "tabloid" paper and smith said, "you actually read that garbage?" and tommy said, "yeah, this is the REAL news. no one takes this seriously and its easy to post the things we need to investigate without causing world panic or being discovered".

now, the off the main grid sites are not men in black supernatural writers, but, this is the take on it. most of the time when omar and armondo and saleguar mouth off, players or staff feed them something as a joke as they know if they say, ok, off the record, your right, so and so is going to..... or, yes, that signing is happening tonight knowing full well they will run right to their employer and front line it in their column and then endup on every spots board on the net. and they all laugh hard when those main media hacks are on boards bloating about their "inside, cant miss source" and how they have the TRUE inside info.

the outsiders get rolled sometimes to, but, i bet my money on the inside source who is being PAID to spill something. BARRY JACKSON is one of the ONLY guys i would MAYBE pay to read. and that depends on price. i NEVER give money to ANYONE or ANY SITE or charity or service untill i KNOW EXACTLY WHERE THE MONEY IS GOING, WHOS FIRST IN LINE TO COLLECT THE MONEY AND WHO BENEFITS. BEWARE: the ones who wont answer when you ask, your money IS going to places for much more than the implied purpose. many have no problem telling you whos getting it, what for and how much. and if their up front and i find there is someone who gets some "pay" from it, as long as their not people who support things that go against my social and political grounds, i have no problem with someone who is making a buck honestly, someone who is making their living taking care of that service or interest.

like the above poster mentioned, these main line news services like the herald and the sun and palm post, they are no where near becoming broke. it's been many, many, many years since print made any money. if that was causing them to go broke, they would have been finished YEARS ago.

so, NO, i will not pay a dime for those hacks or sites or web page. and, i have a problem with more than one of their sponsors who violate my personal code and interests. i wont give them my money to help either of those entities, the news service or the sponsors. NO SECRET i am a STAUNCH follower of the u.s. constitution and the 2nd amendment. so, as an example, i dont buy ANY of PAUL NEWMANS FOOD PRODUCTS like his salad dressings and drinks and so forth. why? his company, from day one gives MASSIVE money to the anti firearms crowd. me being a 2nd amendment and firearms enthusiast, it would counter to my interests to give the newman corporation my money!!

liking my stand on that IS NOT the point. EVERYONE should know who and what their money goes for. you would be surprised at what you find, no matter if your a constitution american or liberal or you worship a head of cabbage. if you roll back the layers, in MOST situations from sports to religion to gardening to online shopping, you will be shocked as to what and who gets your money. and the MAIN STREAM MEDIA is in on all kinds of unsavory dealings and or anti american issues and causes. this is NOT about political debate. forget about deciding what hack is your fav and paying for that, LOOK AT WHERE THE MONEY IS REALLY GOING before making your decision. there is much more going on in the world more important than paying a sports hack. as i said, IF you look [google] you will find eye opening things about these people and corporations and web sites who have their hand out and no matter what side of political, religious, social and personal side your on, VERIFY what your dollar is going for. if things are on board for your life style, beliefs, political preference, GO FOR IT. not everyone or every company or charity is on the take or supporting evil deeds or things you stand for.

a great man once said: TRUST....... BUT VERIFY!!

i wont be supporting the herald or the sun. its a RARE, RARE instance i read anything from them and 99,9% is from fans on the board posting something those idiots wrote in their columns

and, if you dont care about any of what i mentioned about the money trail, than boil it down to this......... PAY FOR OMAR? your REALLY going to do that?

nuff said.

classic!!!!!!
So how do you really feel? You just tripped out!

They got to pay the bills somehow. I wont be paying but I understand why they do it

Don't be surprised if all newspapers and magazines tighten their security to the point where if you want to read an article, you will be forced to pay. This is the future.

why give away your articles. don't blame them. they have to pay salaries.

I used to think sports journalists where the height of sports intelligence, then I grew up. I realized sports journalism isn't really journalism its really sports editorials almost of all it is opinion. Now we all know the saying about opinions everyone's got one etc. Thing is they are telling you what you own eyes see and then writing it down, then even the real ego driven ones try to present it as fact. They put on the air of because i have a byline I am smarter than you and know more. If you know the rules of any sport then you are more than qualified to opine on that sport and if you watch it more than 5 years consider yourself an expert, these guys didn't go to school for football remember they went to school for journalism which is the education of learning to write and present news in a coherent manner. In the old days sports journalists were needed because there was no Sunday ticket and if you wanted to know about the Yankees playing the Red Sox and you lived in Minnesota you had to read the AP report or a syndicated columnist who told you what he saw and thought. And back then it was more reporting and less opinion because that was more important nowadays we can watch any sport at anytime we don't need Omar Kelly's assholisms combined with his very own highly self regarded scout skills, but he knows that so he has to insert something in his article of perceived value. That annoyance you feel when you watch a game and then read a newspaper article that differs from what you believe really happened a little of it is we see things as we are not as they are, but ALOT of it your own brain saying this guy is full of **** I know what I saw. Especially now with the Internet stats, they can be herded together by anyone and you can realize your own truth write your own blog, chat with other fans in forums write long post game posts of analysis which in reality no different from what Greg Cote, Omar Kelly, Armando Salguero are doing they just got a better venue thats all
