Could he have looked any worse so far??? Every time I see him walk onto the field he looks lost and confused, or nervous. He walks up to the huddle and seems like hes mumbling, not taking control or showing any confidence. Plus he has a serious issue with fumbling and hasn't thrown many good passes....

He constantly walks off with his head hanging down looking towards the ground....

Henne and Pennington are completely opposite, they are fiery and passionate and instantly TAKE CONTROL of the huddle and the offense as soon as they're put in. They look like true leaders, generals of the offense, the complete opposite of the "deer in the headlights" look we get from Beck.

anyone agree/disagree?

How can you say he hasnt thrown a lot of good passes. Hes only thrown like 8 times.

Oh yah and has anyone else noticed whenever the other QB's are huddled around eachother looking at the coach/playbook/pictures of the last drive Beck is nowhere to be seen???? noticed this many times in the preseason, almost like he already knows hes on the way out

why do people protect this guy? I know I do it as well sometimes...

He has been terrible with no upside and he's 27 years old...

Hopefully he'll play the majority of the saints game

Well I mean from last year's sample and this preseason's sample. He's never really WOW'd anyone with his throws has he? I see him bouncing 6 yard dump offs at peoples feet >_<

exactly I haven't seen any upside from this kid, and tons of downside. SERIOUS fumbling issues that even showed in the preseason... not to mention every game he played in last year he was bobbling the snap/dropping the ball out of nowhere/ etc etc .

it seems to me like we wasted a 2'nd round pick on him unless he somehow miraculously improves... but i mean our rookie Henne looks better than him already and Beck has a full year of experience more

i hate how a lot of people on here keep judging beck before they can see what he can do. he hasnt be given a chance to succeed. look at last year for instance...he played with a BADLY injured team...bad line, no WR's, no TE's... put the guy in a position where he will succeed or at least have a chance to BEFORE YOU JUDGE HIM. Take ANY QB and put them in that situation (as a rookie) and tell me who would succeed. NOONE.

i completely agree with the fact that he was thrown into a bad spot, but even aside from that what about this preseason? he still looks very lost to me out there,

not even football-skill related, just his demeanor and attitude seems horrible, nothing like a QB should be, and he's had a whole year to work with the team now and he's getting badly outplayed by a rookie from michigan, I don't see how you can still be defending him.

completely agree with you on this one mcmichael, i think beck is terrible or at least for this team....he had his chance last year to step his game up and i just didnt see any promise out of him....again this offseason he had the chance to step up and take the starting qb job.....IMO last year shattered his confidence and he wont get it back in miami

I can judge him on the fact that he fumbled snaps and the ball with no pressure around him. Rookie or not he had trouble holding on to the ball.

Reportedly, he threw over 7 thousand passes in the past offseason and it still didn't help make him any better. The Fins should just trade him, cut him, use him as a 3rd string back-up or whatever and let's move on.

exactly he kept dropping the ball out of nowhere with nobody even around him... he did that like at least 4-5 times, that's just plain not acceptable for an NFL QB come on now.

maybe if he didnt have 5 defenders in the back field last year by the time he got the snap and got some protect, he wouldnt be hesitant and feel like he as to rush things.

this just plain isn't true, he was dropping the ball with NO defenders within 15 feet of him. He just doesn't have any pocket presence at all it seems to me, either rushes the ball out too fast or holds it for too long, and dropping it by yourself with nobody around is just ridiculous for an NFL QB

Beck has a good ball and throws nicely, but aside from that, he either isnt NFL ready, or just does not have the talent to play in the NFL. Which for me is somewhat saddening, i was a huge Beck supporter, but I havent seen much from him to warrant him staying a Dolphin
