I know this is wrong and near blasphemy, but for the first time in my life I think I'm hoping the Jets beat the Dolphins just so we can finally be free of the disease that is Joe Philbin. That is what Philbin has done to me...

I'd be more content with a Dolphins loss to the hated Jets if it meant Philbin is gone than I would be with a Dolphins victory if it meant Philbin survives the season.

I still hate the Jets with a passion, but I just can't stomach a Philbin coached team any longer, especially when there is the possibility he could save his ass with another 8-8 season. I just can't have him waste any more of our years, the sooner he is fired, the less anxiety there will be that Ross will stubbornly keep him on board another year.

I'm not hoping for it, but I'm definitely expecting it. I think if we go 4-12 we'd be lucky at this point.

Hell NO!

I NEVER root against the Phins and I most certainly NEVER root for the Jests under any circumstance.

These are the games I want to win the most every year. These are the games that piss me off the most if we lose.

Of course I want to win.

Philbin is going to be fired regardless... likely at the end of the year or mid season.
But would prefer that the dolphins not be dead to me until the draft or early offseason when we shake up the staff.

Who wants to suffer through another meaningless season 3 games in..

I honestly feel we have a better chance to win moving forward this season WITHOUT Philbin than with him... Getting rid of him this early would actually give me more hope for the rest of the season.

We thought he would get fired at the end of the season the past 2 years and it never happened. In Ross World, Philbin is safe as long as he pulls a few meaningless wins at the end of the season. I don't want Philbin to have that chance...

Let's take a step back here for a second.

There is no way Philbin gets another year unless this teams makes the playoffs and I may go as far to say that we need a playoff win for him to get another chance.

That being said, 8-8 will get him fired.

So in my opinion, I'm not going to root against the team I have devoted my NFL life to (especially against a TOP rival), given I don't expect this team to win more than 5-7 games and Philbin will be gone anyway.

I hope the jets lose more than I hope the dolphins win.

This question circulates this board about every 4 years...whenever our coach is inevitably going to get fired.

Dolphins = Rinse and repeat.

Lets get to 1-3 and lose all hope at tiebreaker scenarios so the team has a better chance to go on a run and finish 8-8. BRILLIANT!!!

why would any fan want their team to lose a game in week 4? to their most hated rival no less.

Just against Tannehill, right?
